Hey everyone. The guy (Larry) who was the finance officer when I bought my GTI turned out to be an old SCCA instructor and we got to talking about road racing. He eventually shared that he still has his car and it's been sitting for a while and just hasn't gotten around to selling it. I've never seen a car like it, so I think it's pretty interesting, so I offered to help spread the word for him. I'm not getting anything from this, he just seems like a cool guy and I'd like to help him out. (Yes, he is the one who convinced me to get the wheel and tire insurance, which I cancelled today).

Details I know (These are all his words):

• 1987 Scirocco 16V race prepped for SCCA IT class
  
• Mitch Piper 8 point custom roll cage ( $3000 alone!)
  
• Highly desirable 2H VW trans with Quaife diff and 4.23 final drive built by BSI Dick Shine Racing

What: Greater Washington Section Mercedes-Benz Club of America hosted autocross. This is a pretty laid back environment compared to SCCA if you haven't been to one before. No real classing and no one is really tracking points throughout the season as far as I can tell.

Typically things start to get moving around 8am, tech is usually open around 7:30 if I remember correctly.

How: Registration is usually just done the morning off. The cost is $30 for MBCA members and $35 for non-members. Helmets will be required and they have loaner helmets. Motorcycle helmets are allowed. Cars have to be under 95 db at 50ft at WOT so no open headers or straight pipes allowed.

Going to miss the July one due to going to Carlisle most likely but definitely going to try and make most of the rest. Who's with me?

Anyone got a few-year-old one that's in good shape they want to sell? Bonus if it's the last of the generation that still had a DVD drive. 14-15" screen preferable, but 12" might do depending on price. Our 7-yr old Pro might be down to no working fans and failing battery and I'm surprised it still functions as hot as it runs....

Yes they still make them although they stopped for a couple years. It's basically a two stroke dirt bike for the water. Super fun. This particular one has been babied since new. Always garage kept. Cranks right up. Tell your friends. Asking $5,000 but we can probably work out a better MM price. Here's the Facebook ad

Long story short, this ended up following us home when picking up an e30 sedan. Plan was to try and clean it up for max ROI to feed bmw habit, but we all know how that story goes.

Anyone use letgo to sell anything big or small? Thinking of using it in addition to some other traditional avenues but wondering if anyone had any luck with it.

Possible things I'm selling would be a 98 kx125 that is 100% disassembled so mainly for parts or someone extremely ambitious with a bunch of new bearings and some other new engine parts.

And then a 2008 stand up jetski. They're pretty rare so idk what to ask. Probably way over book and see what offers I can get. There really are no examples in this area and anything outside this area is going for way over book and mine had been garage kept since new.

Does anybody have a Nexus 5x for parts? I just need a good glass/digitizer out of it.

Mine started the bootloop this week and lg will replace it so long as there is no physical damage, like a cracked screen.
