MBCA Autocross dates 2018-2019 - Deceus - 06-20-2018
What: Greater Washington Section Mercedes-Benz Club of America hosted autocross. This is a pretty laid back environment compared to SCCA if you haven't been to one before. No real classing and no one is really tracking points throughout the season as far as I can tell.

Typically things start to get moving around 8am, tech is usually open around 7:30 if I remember correctly.
How: Registration is usually just done the morning off. The cost is $30 for MBCA members and $35 for non-members. Helmets will be required and they have loaner helmets. Motorcycle helmets are allowed. Cars have to be under 95 db at 50ft at WOT so no open headers or straight pipes allowed.
Going to miss the July one due to going to Carlisle most likely but definitely going to try and make most of the rest. Who's with me?

It's that time again folks. Weather is looking like a gamble at the moment. Cooler but with a 50/50 chance for rain. After getting rained out at the PCA after 3 runs I'm on the fence personally. I need to get my hood scoop and mechanical fan installed before even thinking pulling the trigger on my u-haul trailer for the weekend.

The 40 degree rain sucked ass but overall wasn't a bad time. Was a pretty small turnout so I was out of there by 3pm which was nice. I showed up right at 8 because I couldn't remember what time they actually got moving and probably won't be doing that again. Driver's meeting wasn't until around 10:30 and first car wasn't off the line until like 11:30. I'll probably leave around 7:30-8 next time so I don't have to be up at 5:30 on a Sunday.

Going to try to make the May event. It's on the 19th, hopefully the car and weather cooperate. Just have a small trans leak to take care of and I'd really like to test out my new brakes.

Same place, same time. I usually roll in around 9-9:30 though. Definitely don't need to show up right at 8.
