| FS: 55in Samsung 4K LED or 42in LG 1080P LED |

Hey guys,
Pulled the trigger on the LG B7a OLED and now need to unload one of the other two i have. First one to go is it.
First is a 55in Samsung - Model # is UN55HU6840. Bought it two years ago and had worked perfectly as my primary TV. 4K image is very sharp and it does a pretty good job with blur considering it's a 60Hz set. Upconvert for 1080P is very good. On ebay it's going for $499 - so asking $350 from MM plus shipping. review
The second is a 42in LG - Model # is 42LB5800. Bought three years ago and has worked perfectly, bedroom TV. One of the best 1080P images I've owned, it probably does better for sports and gaming, lag is negligible. Can't find pricing but think $200 plus shipping is fair. rtings review
Realize it's a bit of along shot, considering the shipping aspect, but figured I'd throw it out there.

Life is too short to drive a Toyota Corolla. Trying to keep the budget to 5g or less; this will be a 3rd car, and I likely won't keep it for much over a year or 2.
Wants
1. 300+ hp. 400+ preferrred
2. RWD or AWD
3. Large. 5 series sized or greater
4. 4 doors
5. Not a basket case. I don't want to drop thousands of work into it as soon as I purchase it. I am willing to do one major mechanical repair (new engine, new transmission) if the body and interior are in good shape, I just don't want to do major engine work + new wheels + new tires + body work + refurbish the interior. Body + Interior condition > mechanical condition.
6. I would prefer something German or American.
7. Traditional automatic (not DCT or similar.) Manual is OK too depending on the car. No DCT or anything similar.
8. 1998 or older, or if newer, something that can be put through a MD state inspection within 30 days. If newer than 1998, the car can't have any engine swaps / removed emissions or similar, and must be in very good shape.
9. Value for the money. I am trying to be in and out of this car for as little as possible over a 1 or 2 year period. Ease of resale and maintenance costs do factor into this.
I don't drive very much at the moment, so overall reliability is not a terrible concern so far as I can reasonably put 5-10k miles on the car over a couple of years. So far I have looked at a 1998 Jaguar XJR and 1998 BMW 750il, and both were basket cases that would have needed another 5g worth of parts right away for them to be semi functional.
Edit:
Cars I have been looking for
BMW 540i w/ M-Sport appearance
BMW 750il
Jaguar XJR
Mercedes W140 S500 / S600
Audi A8 / S8 (only recently, not very familiar with these, and am not super hot on the VAG)

I'm gonna copy RJ here and post up my winter project, a Honda CB360 I picked up two years ago but have done nothing with minus take it apart.
I've always wanted a little "grocery getter" project and love CB's quite a bit. the 350/360 are always fan favorites since they're light and the motors are tiny so fairly easy to work on. I think the difference between the 360 and the 350 are minimal really; the 360 replaced the 350 in '74 to combat some other options from Yamaha and Suzuki, including a slightly larger engine.
This was a craigslist find and at 300 bucks it was almost too hard to say no to. I was sans truck and trailer at the time so Dad and I got a uhaul, and some ramps and pulled this out of an older couple's shed in Waynesboro. It's amazing how heavy a little bike like this is when it's tires are dryrotted and flat and you're pushing it up a hill in wet grass.
Here she is after purchase. 11k on the clock, clean and clear title and motor turns over just fine. Rust everywhere but frame is straight. This one was decked out with all the options: Highwaybars, luggage rack and a comically massive windshield.
" />
I tried to fix some of the spot rust on the exhaust with the Alumimum foil and water trick. It helped but... Imma need new exhaust.
" />
I got myself a motorcycle lift and decided to go ahead and strip it down. I've been cataloguing all my parts and have gotten to the point where it needs a new everything, but eh. It's a project, sort of the point.
This picture was 1.5 years ago I think? Chrzan still lived with me and we had a cool set up with his Aprilia and my CB900f (that I shoulda never sold, damn it).
" />
It's gutted now, everything is off. I'm working out how to get the triple tree off since it's cracked on the left hand side and I'm going to upgrade to something different anyways. The crown nut uses a special honda socket (of course) but I hear a cheap autozone 30mm socket with a few well placed dremel notches can take care of it fairly easily.
" />
Current state is the motor is out of the frame and wheels and forks are off. I'm going to spruce the frame up and paint it. I was thinking of powder coating it but I'm thinking that may make it too heavy.
Goals on the bike? I'm going to do a modern front and rear end from some crashed out bikes I can find in a salvage yard. Still working on what to do with the triple adapter I'll need. Both of those will solve my issues with brakes and wheels, assuming the wheels are straight. I'm not doing anything crazy like r6; I'm going to see if I can source some 250's since wheels and tires should be much lighter. Also need to continue to de-rustify the original gas tank. I've it it with a few solutions of the baking soda/vinegar soaks but I'm still seeing a lot of surface rust inside. It's better than it sounding like a maraca before with all the rusty shaking around in it.
I'll do a K&N lunch box or pod intake and of course clean the carbs and such. I got new allen head screws to put in all the covers on the motor. After I verify the motor is okay and should work fine after carbs, I'm gonna figure out how to do the classic cafe single seat pan. I also want to use the original side covers that has the 360 logo on it for a little storage space that I think would be kind of neat. The tail cowling may or may not include some sort of curved finished hardwood using a technique I learned from helping a dude build a sail boat in his basement while in college.

Skip to 9:00. So Matt Farah who does the One Take series shot a video of the Civic Type-R out at Gridlife in Atlanta. In this little sequence he passed three cars without a point by, which were in the process of passing another car. So, if you were head instructor or race director what would your call be here?
On r/cars Farah said:
Quote:Haha yeah someone complained about that pass but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and I needed to make a video so I made a move.
I'm kinda like...soooo you broke the rules and put other drivers at risk for your youtube video?

Hey everyone! Trying to get the car ready for Summit in November and this is one of the last weekends I have to do it. If it's ready, it's ready, if not, I can finish it up over the summer. Jake Lind and I will be doing stuff to the car, but I wouldn't mind some help or people to drink beer and heckle me.
I have:
Shocks, Springs, new top hats for the front
Sway bar links
Poly Trailing Arm Bushings
Drive side trailing arm
Rotors and Hawk HPS pads with some nice fluid
Possibly hunt down and replace some PS and oil leaks.
If I have time, tear some of the interior out to hunt down the short that is blowing fuse 23 and leaving me without any dash lights or my right side running lights.
I'm also possibly going to pull the trigger on some stainless brake lines, but we'll see.
I think I can hopefully knock it out in a weekend barring anything insane. The exhaust is brand new as of like last month, so it'll come off no problem and provide access to stuff. I have tons of tools and a decent garage so we should be ready to go. Let me know if you want to stop by and hang out and I'll shoot you my address. We live at the corner of route 28 and 7 in Sterling.

I am working on upgrading to a small enclosed which means this trailer must go. I bought it from a friend three years ago (jeez) and it's been passed around NASA Mid-Atlantic before that. At least three of us have owned it and it's towed a Foxbody, BMWs and Minis with ease. I've pulled it with a GMT800 Yukon, newish F150 and now newish Range Rover and it's smooth sailing on all counts.
Basics: - 2006 Dively EconoTrailer
- 18' closed deck
- Steel construction
- 3500 lb axles with 7k lb GVWR
- All-LED lighting
- Low-ish fenders (at least they seem that way, I can open my E36 door no problem)
- White steel wheels including one spare
- Stake pockets on the sides/front - you can use 2x4's and build sides easily. I used to have plywood side panels but had to pitch them in my last move. Helpful for moving mulch, furniture, etc.
- Breakaway box/system
Maintenance:
The trailer has been maintained by American Truck & Trailer in Manassas, VA and I have receipts of what they have done since I purchased it. The prior owner also used them for service so they've been working on it for at least six years if not more.- Tires replaced January 2017 - I believe they are Carlisle Sport Trail LH but can check this weekend. I've replaced tires every two years as insurance, never had a blowout (knocks furiously on wood). The spare tire was replaced when I bought the trailer in Spring 2015.
- Brakes replaced January 2017
- Shackles replaced January 2017 - they had ovaled out and were causing alignment issues, everything is straight now
- Wheel bearings repacked January 2017
- Wiring repaired as issues come up, have had zero problems the last couple of years. Replaced the main 7-pin plug/harness at the nose of the trailer as the original developed some sort of internal kink/short causing intermittent connections
- I resprayed the whole trailer when I bought it, with black Rustoleum. It looks fine for being a basic steel trailer that my BMW has leaked all over.
Upgrades:
The trailer has a pickup truck toolbox mounted to the front frame. Great to store straps, a floor jack, fluids, etc. with plenty of space.
I bolted a Pit Pal fuel jug holder to the front of the deck, which will hold two 5-gallon jugs.
Location & Price:
$2200 OBO. Located in Northern Virginia (Alexandria). Can take better photos if anyone wants them. I am surprised that I even have this many photos of a slab of steel with wheels.

Some 2x4 and plywood can make it do this:

I've been on the hunt for an 05+ SV650 for the past couple of months and honestly a motorcycle for the better half of 10 years. I told myself this was the year I was going to sack up, buy a bike and go ride Skyline in the fall because it's a bucket list item for me. No more reasons why not or financial rationale to do otherwise.
The timing worked out near perfectly for the bike. I got home from Vermont the 2nd and saw this bike was for sale in Westminister, MD. I was off Monday to recover from the 8 hour drive so I secured a uHaul trailer and made the drive (because duh, why not?). The guy I purchase it from had owned the bike since 2010 and didn't really ride much anymore because he had two kids and needed cash for a mini-van. The bike had a few cosmetic bumps and bruises, but overall seemed solid for the price. For a true first bike I didn't want anything too pretty anyways. I made a bold cash offer up front before test driving and he went with it.
Since it's a MD bike I had to get it inspected before I can register it. Rode it to the inspection station last Friday and got an inspection sticker no problem. Plan is to get it fully registered this week with VA and start riding to Rosslyn for work.
I think the tires are OK for this riding season (or at least the end of it), but will need to be replaced. Overall it's been really satisfying to go out at night and tinker with the bike and sit on it making "vroom vroom" noises (no really).
I think longer term I'd like to at least throw a slip-on exhaust on it because the v-twin sounds like tits with a big throaty exhaust and that's probably it. Just ride it and enjoy it and if I continue to like the bike thing keep it long term. If I don't I know I can sell it next season an easily make all my money back.
