Can and should are two different things. I honestly don't want to go that wide right now. Maybe when I have a car to DD.

I'd feel pretty okay with them if they cost <$500
Senor_Taylor Wrote:I definitely want to go 33". If I find some cheap 15" wheels, I'll downsize so I can save a butt load of money on tires. 33x10.5x15 BFG ATs are on sale for something like $150 on tire rack right now. I just don't think I can fit a 12"+ tire in my wheel well above a 31"
Thinking about getting KM2s as a 255/85/16 or something in a 285/75/16
Again, wrangler rubicons come factory with 285/75/16 BFG Mud Terrains. Guys are always upgrading to 35s and you can find low mileage take offs for cheap.
I imagine they would tuck nicely front and rear on your Taco.

They are more like 32s but I'll keep my eye out.
I wonder if the 32 would fill out my wheel wells. I guess they would. When you say 32, you mean like 32.8 or something, right?
32.83" if my math is right and I remembered all the decimals while switching through screens

Jeez, that means I've been looking at too many tires if I guessed that closely...
That's what its supposed to be but with how much tire compnaies vary their sizes, it could be closer to 32 i guess

Looks like my thermostat housing is cracked. I've had coolant dripping down my timing belt cover for a while. I had replaced my upper rad hose a year ago, and I just started it and cut it off before it got hot. It ran a lot more than it does when it's warm, so I'm assuming it's a cracked housing. I've got the 2 hour drive back to school in 15 minutes, so we'll see how things go.
can I suggest....

Perhaps, given the current state of affairs I present exhibit A:
I'll flip a coin to decide which route I take.
Come across money for new tires. I'm looking for a 255/85/16, skinnier than my current tires, but 2+ inches taller. Where does everyone buy tires around Harrisonburg? I need a place that can get tires in the weird size I want. The bad part is that I need to buy 5 of them. Anyone have any suggestions on a good tire? I can only find the BFG Mud Terrain KM2s in that size, which I wouldn't mind, but they are a tad expensive.
I always ordered from Tire Rack and had them shipped to whichever shop I chose. The tire shop (Jenkins?) next to Pheasant Run was relatively cheap to install 'em.

Ditto on Tirerack, have em ship to your installer, you get the Tirerack install pricing, done. I always had luck with the Merchants on Mason St.
Or if you have a Costco membership, you can't go wrong there either.
Why can't you go LT265/75R16?
Lots of sizes there.
Tire Rack has been my go-to choice before, but they only carry ONE tire in 255/86/16. I'll probably just go with the KM2s as expensive and unnecessary as they are.

I'm already running a 265/70/16 and they look ABSURDLY small in my wheel wells with 3 inches of lift. I want to go to 33's
Check out DiscountTireDirect.com. They sometimes have brands/models that Tire Rack does not.
