Ok, I figured there are probably a bunch of cool automotive news sites, forums, and what not that everyone visits but not everyone knows about the same stuff. So post your favorite sites and a little description as to why its cool. For forums post which specific forums you frequent. Also, if there's any place you've been looking for and haven't found, post here too. I'd like to find a site about 2 stroke sport bikes myself.
Honda-tech.com
With over 25000 members is THE Honda forum on the net. A lot of the forums can be stupid or a waste but the Road Racing/AutoX forum (which Ryan moderates) is a good source of info and is where most of the Honda Challenge guys from around the country hang out.
Autoweek.com
General auto news with a lot of early scoops
Vtec.net
Vtec.net is more of a Honda news and technical site. This is where you'll find a lot of the advance Honda info like upcoming products, Formula 1 reports, etc. There are model specific forums here so I kinda browse all of them and the Professional Motorsports forum.
theracesite.com
These guys cover mostly American road racing and have interesting news every now and then.
insider.speedtv.com
These are the Speed Channel forums. The ones I like are the Sports Car and Motorcycle forums. The F1 and WRC forums there are good too.
italiaspeed.com
A good news site for Italian car news. You'll find exclusive Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo race reports on here. Very nice pics too.
superbikeplanet.com
A good website about AMA road racing. Their classifieds are pretty decent as well.
ekartingnews.com
Biggest and best karting forum on the web and has a good number of tech articles about karting.
There are a bunch of other car news places I check out but much less frequently than the main group here. Post away!

Check it out: http://www2.autospies.com/article/index ... cleId=2876
I don't think we'll actually get the 1 series here because BMW thinks we don't like hatchbacks. I think I've heard that we'll get the 2 series with 2.2L and 2.5L inline 6's. I'm a bit dissapointed with the weight, the 2.0L 1 series comes in at ~2950 lbs. Pretty much what the Mazda 3 5 door weighs tho so it isn't totally bad.

alrighty, as most of you know, I got a 240sx a little while ago to serve as a daily driver and track car. So, I decided I'd go ahead and make a thread to update as the car slowly comes together.
So far I have stripped out the vast majority of the interior (left the dash and some interior panels) and done a lot of cleaning. I tossed the old carpet cuz it looked and stank like hell and I can get a brand new, pre-molded one for $120, so I'll probably do that. Otherwise, I'm just waiting to sell the mkIII so that I'll have some money to play with and get this car on its way to GRM $2005 Challenge domination

Must be the hatchback rear wheel drive version with 4a-ge engine(or once had a 4a-ge). I could care less about how well it runs but preferably a strong tranny(doesn't have to have an working engine/or any engine for that matter). Gotta have a strong frame and i could really care less about the interior. If any of the stuff i don't care about is fine on the car then that's an added bonus. just let me know if you guys hear of any for sale anywhere (or know someone that could be convinced to let it go) so i can check em out, thanks.

I just saw that neighbors has their regular unleaded gas at $1.75 a gallon  . At what point does it have to get to, for any of you to maybe consider purchasing a hybrid. I know it goes against everything that we(MM dogs) buy cars for. My family is strongly considering a Hybrid Civic as a result of refinancing their mortgage. Comments appreciated.

On my way to my Environment exam, I got stopped for my window tint by a State Trooper. The deal is either I show up in court on 1 July at friggin' 5:30am or I call this number, pleading guilty and pay the ticket. Now that considering 1 July is in the middle of a work week, I am thinking about paying the ticket as opposed to going through the hassle of driving down here at butt ass early in the middle of the week. Court fees are $60 right even if the cop doesn't show up? I will also have to have my tint removed by then. Chime in please to help a brother out.

Mark your calendars now folks and come out to support those who need it. This year we jumped in to officially sponsor the 2nd annual NVTC show. Most of the clients in residence at the Northern Virginia Training Center suffer from mental retardation, associated with sensory and physical disabilities. The brain is an extremely complex part of the human body and it takes lots of research to decrypt its mysteries. Research takes $, and our cars can bring in $ for them. I hope that everyone comes out to participate. As with any Crossroad event, ALL makes & models are welcome!
When: May 16th , 2004
Time: 11am-4pm
Where: Nothern Virginia Training Center vistors lot, in Fairfax VA. Right down from George Mason University.
9901 Braddock Road
Fairfax, VA 22032
Registration: $20 per car REGISTER HERE All proceeds will go to NVTC.
Food & Drinks will be on sale from a volunteer group that will donate the proceeds to the center.
There will be a continuous sale of raffle tickets for each prize given out by sponsors such as Excessive Motorsport, Piper Motorsport, and many more!!! Bring those dollar bills because for a few bucks you will be taking home some amazing prizes. If you could help with a prize to raffle off, please contact me: Edson@CrossroadOnline.com
For latest updates on the event or to volunteer your help CLICK HERE
This should be an awesome event. Don't let your stock car car scare you away. Think of it as a $20 donation to a good cause, and an excuse to hang out with other enthusiasts for a few hours and see some sweet cars.
Sponsor list updated:
TYWRAP Wrote:Hopefully another vendor will be donating raffle items!!!
Vendors so far:
Excessive Motorsports
Piper Motosport
RP Performance
King Rat Motorsports
BDM
Tekademics (sp?)
and hopefully one more. You dsm and subaru guys will like this one
Also we may be able to squeeze a couple more people in the show so it will be a first come first serve after the pre-reg. is full. So if you miss the online registration be early. Everyone at the event (non-show entrants included) will be able to join in on the raffle.
