On my way to my Environment exam, I got stopped for my window tint by a State Trooper. The deal is either I show up in court on 1 July at friggin' 5:30am or I call this number, pleading guilty and pay the ticket. Now that considering 1 July is in the middle of a work week, I am thinking about paying the ticket as opposed to going through the hassle of driving down here at butt ass early in the middle of the week. Court fees are $60 right even if the cop doesn't show up? I will also have to have my tint removed by then. Chime in please to help a brother out. :roll:

This rash of run ins with the cops leads me to believe we should get an MM lawyer...
I have a feeling that in your case you should have been given a 'fix it' ticket. In that case I think you just have to show the judge proof that you rectified the problem and you are free to go.

hmmmm, may i ask one question? Why the hell did you put illegal tint on your buick?!?!?!?!??! the only acceptable answer here is "i bought the 3% limo tint at autozone and did it myself for 20 bucks" cause if you got it done professionally..........ouch. Ticket, yea id pay over the phone definitely, 5:30am would be cutting your evening short. Did the cop break out the tool to check if it was illegal? or did he just assume and write the ticket? Sucks man

Yeah he pulled out this device and it measured 16%. A little more that the 20% that I got at the Tint Shop.

why?!?!!? BECAUSE ITS NEVER DONE and looks damn good. My car consistently gets confused with 3rd gen rx7s and mk4 supras, noone can tell what the hell kind of car it is. How many kitted 5th gens have you seen besides mine? I'll give you a hint, it begins with a Z. You see a honda with a kit and you can say "ive seen that done many times before" everywhere i go i get compliments and people always ask to take pictures of my car, Not to mention i get 40 mpg on the highway. I've yet to have someone tell me they didnt like the way my car looked to my face, all i get is compliments and i like it, i guess i dont like to be a mindless sheep and do what everyone else is doing, ingenuity breeds originality. On a second note, i don't get tickets or ever get pulled over for illegal things because my car is 100% legal. When somebody asks you to take a picture of your car, let me know cause ive had 13 people ask me in the past 5 months, i guess that means its pretty unique, gotta take a picture cause they know theyll never see one like it again

If you want a car that looks like that, here's a tiny tip: don't spend $3,000 on a paint job with harsh edges and molding on a body kit that's cracked. You won't get any of that in return when you realize the error in your ways and sell it. Instead, save the money, and buy a fd or a mk4 supra. With that 3 grand alone, you coulda bought one sweet FC or some other car that would have turned more heads... if that's what you're into.

I wasn't knocking rob for tinting his buick at all, i think all cars can be tinted and it look very tasteful. but tinting ILLEGALLY (did i stress illegally enuogh?) is a different story altogether and is just asking for trouble(this is what i meant in my original post). For instance, the place that tinted my car WOULD NOT tint it illegally without a doctors note saying it needed to be tinted really dark for medical reasons. I figured he bought a tint kit himself to do it, cause its a liability issue for a shop to tint it illegally, I'm sure rob had to sign a waiver when he got it done saying that it was for offroad use only or something like that to cover the shops ass when he gets a ticket.
and to jack- <chappelle voice>I'm rich beitch</chappelle voice>, i can do whatever the hell i want (waiting tables makes tons of money) i never had enough money to outright buy a 3rd gen rx7 or mk4, so i just slowly modded this car the way i wanted it, and it's almost done, just needs the 20v actually in the car instead of on my basement floor and its complete. Then i have a car that noone else can have, oh yea jack i don't ever plan on selling it, ill be 90 and itll still be kickin around unless it gets totaled. Unless of course some person offers me some rediculous amount of money for it, which has happened once but i doubt will happen again. It all boils down to, you do what you want to do to your car, and don't give a shit what people say, and hey if someone(or everyone) compliments your style then the more power to you, but if you do something that's illegal you shall pay
