Fair enough, I'll continue pushing then, even if it isn't for peak time. I'm not in a racing mindset in TT, which I assume should help even in TT if I'm pushing it I'll get faster naturally on un-tired equipment
Really? Another Miata thread....

Kinda just wanna do aero for the cool pics and likes. This thing looks pretty cool now with the hood vents... I guess that increase in front spring rate has made the FRC a bit stiffer than the rear; making it easy to three wheel

The front plate and plate holder gotta go.

For anyone that knows how the Miata community is, the plate is glorious. It's hard for me to remove

Wouldn't the plate be the opposite of wanting to be associated with the 'Miata' culture?

Leave the rear plate on as a giant middle finger to the entirety of the Miata.net forum, but f'real f'real take the front one off. It looks silly with all the race shit on the car.

The NC is considered the "fat Miata" because it's really just a shorter RX-8 with an inline four instead of a rotary. It weighs more than some out-of-touch old men on Miata.net think it should so they bitch when they see one "going to the auto cross" or "racing on the Tail of the Dragon" or whatever else. The ones complaining usually have far too much money sunk into their NA's, complete with chrome style bars and quilted seats, or other equally awful mods. So Ryan is kind of poking fun at that crowd with his itty-bitty-drop-top-no-apex-seals RX-8.

if you have to explain the joke...
It includes the younger crowd now that has really taken it to heart. They have the biggest boner over saying it's not a Miata. It's pretty stupid, but life wouldn't be life without stupid

Going to order G-Loc R18 for front pads and R14 for rear. Both are endurance compounds. R14 are similar to DTC-30 temp wise, but with slightly lower coefficient of friction. R18 are similar to DTC-70 temp wise, but slightly lower coefficient of friction than DTC-60. Hoping I can pull at least 4 events front without ducts... and close to a whole season in the rear. I will probably be adding front ducts to help not run through pads so quickly, but I want to see how long these pads last first.
So, replaced ABS sensor in the rear. Now there is only one code for the abs sensor which is a continuous cel. Just means it needs time to reset, I hope... So, hopefully it's fixed.... Gas cap was probs the hardest thing to do. Needs time to reset as well and I hope that's fixed All bolts I marked still haven't moved. Who would've thunk torque to spec keeps bolts in place I'll take off the front plate tomorrow while tears roll down my little eyes.
