That looks awesome. Thought about coming out and watching, but we got a new dog so had to stay home. Maybe I'll register for the next one.

Joey nailed it. What a fantastic day. It was a great event for newbies (like myself) and even experienced autox/track drivers to just have a great time on a section of the track. I could get into third gear (which is like 70-80 mph), and was able to really practice my heel-toe into a couple of the corners.

I got someone to ride along with me to correct my line, which made me much faster, as I was cutting the carousel waaaaaaay to tight on the main course. I was finally able to get ABS to kick in as I got more confidence in my brakes, which were absolutely fantastic (Hawk FTW).

I think my favorite moment of the day for sure was when my boat was plowing its way around corners, and wouldn't turn, so finally I yelled "ROTATE DAMMIT" and floored in in second and the back end came around just like it should have. Probably a bit crude, but that can be polished out later lol. That was for sure an experience, steering finally with the throttle in some turns, especially on the Shenandoah circuit.

Another funny part of the day was when I told Jon that I was going to take it easy on the first run, and then proceeded to side step clutch dump out of the box spinning all of 1st gear  . Whoops Tongue

Overall, another great MM event

Looks like a blast! I really want to make it out for the December event. Anyone want to let me co-drive something? I'll have just come home from Road Atlanta and won't want to tow the M3 the following weekend... and the 'vert isn't allowed Sad

Maybe you can convince your roommate his 318ti needs a proper shakedown. Or bolt your 'vert wheels on your perfectly good race car. :dunno:

I wonder if I could steal the Ti.

Switching wheels around doesn't make anything better, given the M3 has no tags/insurance/inspection.

AND be like $20k outside my budget. As much as Julianne would appreciate a Z06 in the parking spot (she really would) I think she'd be a LITTLE upset when it came to plopping down cash on wedding expenses.

Just wait till she wants to renovate the kitchen which turns into scope creep of kitchen/living room/dining room/breakfast nook/office/basement/stairs/powder room/doors/#everything.

My wallet has never cried for more mercy.

Do what Kaan and Sylvia did, run off and elope. I happen to know the Pastor that did their wedding really well, I'm sure she'd be happy to hook you up for the same deal. She even has an adorable granddaughter that could serve as your flower girl if need be!

You can still have a party, just no need to spend outrageous money on a bunch of bullshit. Just sayin. Memories > Pretty Pictures.

Different strokes for different folks

Hence why there are guys that own a prius vs a z06 for daily driving. According to each owner, they are "right" as to their decision. What is "bullshit" to you may make sense to us, while what you think is important is bullshit to me. Funny coming from the butthurt person about people being "petty judgemental asscunts".

Now let's go back to our regulary scheduled program of how its remarkable how many students came out and had fun. MOARRRR!!!
