Honestly, if y'all are worried about MM not doing stuff this year, you shouldn't. We have tons of cool things in the worls and have already have something almost every weekend. We have tons of new members ready and willing to participate so we just need to get the ball rolling. It's funny that Dj mentioned camping because I've been planning a camping trip for a little bit. We also have a ton of new members and even freshmen planning to attend the college solo.

Personally, I don't understand why we don't have one elected Alumni as an officer to help the current students with coordination, advice, and perspective on events to help MM growth.

That person or another person could also keep a general ledger. That account is very simple, a small excel spreadsheet would cover the entire year of outlays and income and help get a better perspective. Money is always better spent with more transparency in a public club. The outlays vs income is probably less complicated a year than most alumni's bank accounts a month. :lol:

What did you have in mind? I know DJ has asked me once or twice to ride along jeepin and definitely Joey/Jake have asked too.

Not to sidetrack but those sort of events don't require club fund unless you're supporting food for the group. The biggest expense is the time/effort to coordinate.

As for the Alumin rep, I always remember Kaan showing up once in a while to bang some heads together when students got stupid.

I was thinking we could head up to GWNF and go on one of the easier, but not easiest trails and we could take the 4x4 guys and load our vehicles with everyone else. I don't know much about GWNF so I was going to ask Colton for advice on it. We could ride up somewhere with a nice view that the car guys probably have never been and camp out. Then head down the next day. I know you can do stuff like that at Shoe. If me, a couple jeeps went, we could easily take 10+ people plus all the gear.

We have roughly $1500. After shirts and paying for the MM garage for a year we will be down to around $500. We as officer's have talked and are still deciding on what to do with karting. As I mentioned earlier I think it will be more of show up to SPK instead of renting out a place and everyone just pays out of pocket.

There is a lot of options and we have been thinking of maybe doing our own auto-x at Shenandoah Speedway or something similar.

Wait what? You guys have $1500 bucks in the bank and think there is no money? I think in two years as Treasurer we had a balance of over $500 for about 20 minutes....

If the club elects to not do karting in favor of other events then whatever, as others have said there are any number of motorsports activities we could do instead, but the money shouldn't be an issue. Open up registration and get people to start paying you, put the deposit on a credit card and once you have enough money cut someone a check....

I'm not voicing an opinion either way, but someone DID use it the other day. I personally never have.
