Yeah, if you "don't like" el charro, then you "don't like" good mexican food. Simple as that. El Charro is fucking awesome.

Some of the best chinese food is the one way down southmain near the goodwill.

Around the burg I've heard soo many people talk about Taste of Thai but have yet to go there. If you're ever in the VA Beach area definitely make a side excursion to go to Taste Unlimited http://www.tasteunlimited.com/ Holy sh!t, this place is amazing. Such good sandwiches, specialty sauces/ seasonings/ sodas/ beers, everything is delicious.

never had BBQ ranch I dont think, im assuming thats not the place next to klines is it? that place sucked.
ill have to try it next time im in town.

+1 on Jalisco's. I've taken my parents there a few times and would go back. Pretty good and relatively cheap.
This. Jalisco's is pretty damned good, I would take that over El Charro any day.

Never cared much for taste of thai. I always thought El Charro was much better than Jalisco's. Pano's down near exit 243 was good. We used to order from Little Italy, across from Wendy's on South Main. Best pizza in harrisonburg in my opinion. Jeff and I used to frequent the truck stop a lot too, pretty good food. The chinese buffet on south main down near city motors is also delicious and cheap at lunch.

I cant remember the exact name, but there was an ethiopian restaurant (i know, right?) in HBurg called Blue..something or other. It was actually really good the couple of times I went there. You'll just want to make sure you go with people you like and think are reasonable clean, since you are pretty much all just sharing one big finger food plate.

Best pizza in Harrisonburg is either Franco's (although it has gone down in quality lately) or Anthony's Italian Touch. As a native New Yorker, I am an authority on pizza.

*on a related note, there are NO good bagels in Harrisonburg. Jays sucks. Yeah i said it, deal with it.*
