Saw one of those stupid "do this" things on Fb... but it involved zombies, so I did it.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Providential!

Now seems as good a time as any to formally announce the formation of the

Madison Motorsports Zombie Response Team.

Whereas: Recognizing that preparedness for any disaster is the first step to survival AND
Whereas: Off-roading or "Wheeling" is as much a "Motor Sport" as any other AND
Whereas: The restless dead seek only to feast upon our tender, delicious brains AND
Whereas: Madison Motorsports has a number of Off-Road Enthusiasts AND
Whereas: The Zombie Preparedness Thread is the only topic in MM history to not get hijacked

We therefore the Off-Roadies of Madison Motorsports to create a formal organization within Madison Motorsports for the purposes preparing for defense against the slavering undead horde and miscellaneous off-road shenanigans. Membership will be open to any MM member in good standing, no matter their choice of automobile, or even possession of a motor vehicle. Membership need only be qualified by potential members not being total dicks.

So say we all.

That complete, the first piece of ZRT equipment is coming down the pipe. A printed vinyl sticker to show the world that you aren't afraid of the impending zombie apocalypse... quite the opposite. You will embrace it.

These are coming soon. You can get one by making a donation to Madison Motorsports. The initial (probably only) run will be 20 stickers, so Be Generous, so as not to be interpreted as a Total Dick. I have put a lot of time (and money!) into this effort, and I'd like the club rewarded, because that's why I did it.

More equipment is coming (cool stuff, promise) to help raise funds for MM, as well as raise awareness and interest in the club itself. Also, as the fall comes and you kids come back to school, we'd like to do some light off road trips, and maybe some camping out in the mountains. Details forthcoming.

As the President of the MM E34 Stock Ride Height Federation, I fully support this endeavor.

How about we PayPal our donashunz to madisonmotorsports [at] gmail [dot] com -- as Payment Owed or whatnot (so no fees) and include "MM ZRT" in the description box.

I'm in for one sticker and will PayPal ASAP. Five bucks sound good?

Lets keep in mind that this is a donation to the club, and you get the sticker. $5 won't even cover the cost of the sticker. Not trying to single you out Jake, just giving a heads up to anyone who wants one.

But we all have been looking for ways to get the donation from alumni % up, so why not if you get a sweet ass sticker. So open your wallet people! Think about the children!!!!

And also, the stickers are on order, I don't have a firm ETA for their arrival, so unless you're sure you want one, wait until I have them in hand to pay up.

Since I call dibs on my own sticker, there are 19 remaining.

I mean, I'll give more, I just don't know cost of production past our basic 1-color stickers.

So... tell me what's a better ballpark and I'll do it.

I'll definitely take one. Probably two or three if space is available, with requisite multiplying of donation

And shirts, hoodies, engraved machetes, etc.

For the first official MM ZRT event can we offroad to a remote location, then shoot up some zombie targets with shotguns? Then maybe take some machetes and chainsaws and chop up some zombie scarecrows/dummies?
