PM role, 4-7 yrs, PMP preferred.
I can shoot you details if interested.
Is it cleared work? My wife might be interested. I'm still angling for an escape from Nova.

Best place to look for jobs?! (Richmond)
I don't have much luck with indeed but I check it everyday.
Looking for entry level stuff mostly but curious if anyone has any ideas. I'm open to any help I can get.
Do most of you just look at the companies website for positions?

I used Indeed and LinkedIn heavy. Have you tried contacting any staffing agencies? Places like Aerotek can help place you in a position. They get paid by the company so it is no cost to you.

Yeah most of their stuff is contract or contract to hire. But that's better than no job at all. Once they have your resume in their system it's game over too. They will call you for eternity.

I'm actively looking to transition to Richmond so if you RVA folks hear of anything I'd be much obliged.
Background:
Functional SDLC/PM
CSM,ITIL and currently studying for PMP.
Trying to remain within my current company for the time being, but switching to Commercial so I'm not location bound. I've talked with friends at CapTech and CaptialOne so I think long term I want to make that move once I'm in the area.

Deloitte is very flexible, make sure to work all your resources.
I got approved to work full remote which is one of the reasons we can make the move.

Is there a plan B if you arent working for them any more? Remote work is tough for longevity with the same company.

Plan B is being near a major city: Charlotte (I am in finance) and Deloitte has an office there if I want to change up jobs.

Working it. Federal doesn't exactly make sense if you don't live in the area especially when client facing. You're internal so it's less of an issue for you.

I'm working on getting involved with recruiting so I hopefully may be coming back to JMU for Career Fairs, presentations, etc. Current students, I'll let you know if I'm coming down and can get you interviews. We are hiring all majors (Except CIS, at least for my role, ironically). ISAT, Hospitality, CS, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Legal, etc.
Here is a list.

It turns out they get back to me very quickly and seem aggressive with hiring people who are referred by employees, so just let me know.

Hmmm, location in Austin. Have to keep this in mind if/when i make the move. Every office except HQ, India, London, and Canada AFAIK we're acquired recently in a merger with a smaller company so they're kind of their own little islands right now. We send people to Portland often from my office.

Applications sent to Amazon (operations) as things I'm only somewhat qualified for. (and probably not qualified for at all in their eyes) but at least I heard back quickly. (one day). Now they I've filled out their questionnaire that was basically the same things they asked in the application, let's see how long it takes to hear back again

Nice, let us know when you're down here buying us lunch on your per diem.
Also, tell your people I'll be their Director of Security Threat Management, as long as I don't have to move, or drive up more than once a week.
