I have a camera mount for those that need it if they want. Only can be used on cars with headrests that have those metal bars connecting.

I don't suppose BRRSCCA still accepts MM membership to waive the $10 SCCA fee do they?

this is my first time ever doing somthing like this. Can someone give me an idea of what its like? About how many laps do you get, and how much of the day will it take up? also do I need a helmet or gloves?
Thanks for the help, hopefully I can make it out!!

I talked to Ray and he said BRR will waive $5 off of a weekend membership fee for a single event this season for paid MM members. So for non SCCA members showing up on Sunday, the cost will be $30 not $35.

Thomas, they have helmets there for free rental while you run. I'll bring my 3 helmets and I think MM has 2 helmets too. Come on out to the meeting this Wednesday and we'll give a novice explanation of how autocross works and how the day will run. Expect to be out of there around 4pm to 5pm, but it might be a little earlier.

Wow, that was a great auto-x...I got 10 runs for 25 bucks! It was good to see so many MM'ers out from H'burg, Brian from C'ville, and both our club advisors! I didn't take any pics, but got a lot of video that I'll work on in the coming weeks....

Today was a blast! Those who were there know my first two runs were um, less than stellar. Fortunately I got things worked out and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Great to see a bunch of people out today. I think I got 10 runs as well - awesome value there, and the amount of seat time can't be beat. I got some sweet rides both from MM folk and random people.

Trunk-mounted video is on its' way. Got my first 4 runs including the first two where I get all OMGWTFLOL in the middle of the course - coming soon Wink

At the risk of sounding like one of the grown ups, I would like to say that it was a pleasure having you guys at the event. You are good competitors, willing workers, and demonstrate respect for others and the event. You represented your school and your club with honor.

OK, here are the first batch of pictures from today. Stay tuned for more in the next couple of days.

That was more of a rallycross than an autox... with that gravel all over the lot. It was pretty fun to throw the car around and its definitely a weird feeling to have the Miata's backend so sensitive to power oversteer. Good times and thanks to BRR-SCCA for putting on another great event and to the current MM students who came out in great numbers today. I didn't meet everyone but got to see some of you guys. It was definitely good fun with good weather. Now who else has pics?

+1 on the rallycross haha. Good times today though. It was great to have that many members out there participating. Hopefully we can keep that up. I'm looking forward to the pics and vids you guys took.

I'll probably put a vid of one of my runs up on youtube and link it here later. Here is the only somewhat decent pic I took all day. I had the GF take the wheel for a minute and I got our caravan rolling down 81.
