BRR SCCA Autocross Verona VA March 21-22 - xvxax - 03-01-2009

Registration opened up for the first BRR SCCA autocross event of the season. They aren't using myautoevents anymore, so you have to sign up using a new site. Cost is $25 for SCCA members and $25 + $10 for a SCCA weekend membership for non scca members. You only need to pay the non member fee once, That means if you pay for the membership fee for the test and tune on Saturday, Sundays event will only cost you $25.

Is anyone interested in the test and tune Saturday?

Here is how you register:

Online Entry Instructions
Getting entered is a two-step process: create an account once and then register for one or more events.

1. If you do not already have one, create an account on MotorsportReg.com. Each driver must have their own account using a unique email address.
2. Once registered and logged in, click the "My Account" tab at the top right.
3. Review your vehicle(s), making sure your permanent/preferred numbers and other information is correct.
4. Find your desired event on the MotorsportReg.com calendar.
5. Follow the steps, selecting the appropriate options and register for the event

For future events, you will only need to sign-in and enter using the account you created above.

If you run into problems creating your account or in entering, you can contact www.MotorsportReg.com or phone 415.462.5603 during normal business hours.

Does the Saturday T+T cost another $25? I'm definitely IN for the Sunday AutoX. I'd like to try messing with sway bar settings but not sure if I'd want to pay the additional fee.

- xvxax - 03-01-2009

Yeah, it's $25 more for Saturday. For those without an SCCA membership, the cost would be $25 + $10 for a SCCA weekend membership on Saturday, and $25 on sunday. The cost is $50 for the whole weekend for members, $60 for the whole weekend for non members. I think that might explain it better. Sorry.

I don't think I'll mess with my front bar but I have a spare smaller rear bar I have been thinking about trying out. If anyone else is game for the T&T I'll go.

I'd help you once we're back from break. I have no idea what I'd be doing but assuming you do, I'm game.

might be up for both saturday and sunday..

- flintster55 - 03-01-2009

In for Sunday for sure. Not sure about Sat. yet. Can't wait to be able autox with a working 1st gear syncro so I can actually downshift instead of taking parts of the course at 1500 RPM in 2nd

I'll be there both days (leaving after my runs Sunday) and saturday is usually a pretty good test and tune session if you're messing with something small like a swaybar. If you decide to go Saturday, I'll have my tools out for swaybar stuff as well .I'll be testing :rear swaybar or no rear swaybar, along with adjusting to my coilovers.

For any folks who haven't autocrossed before with the Blue Ridge Region, dont forget to check www.brr-scca.org for the Solo Tech Sheet to make sure your car will pass tech.

They usually have a box of numbers and classes for you to put on but they have a link you follow to print them out on your own before if you want

And I'm in for Sunday too

- Jake - 03-15-2009

In for Sunday only. Excited though!

As far as helmets, we usually have what, 3 going around (at least) so Taylor, I'm sure you can snag one for your runs. I don't have my own either but I had no issues in the past.

- Maengelito - 03-16-2009

I'm probably in for Sunday, gotta figure out where the Miata is classed at. I'm totally gonna be outgunned.

I *think* CSP is where you play

I'm in with the SM on Saturday, and the red car on Sunday

- Maengelito - 03-16-2009

yeah I signed up for CSP after emailing Ray but I'll talk to some other people when I get there to make sure I'm in the right place to get whooped.

Awesome, looking forward to alumni participation!

I am looking forward to dialing in this badboy this weekend (among my other secret weapons) and sticking it in everyones car (who wants it). Don't mind me squealing like a schoolgirl in the background. http://vimeo.com/3694591

Wow nice peter. I was actually thinking about making a mount in my car too this week with metal with holes drilled through it that the head rest slides through but I don't know what mounts are considered safe enough during tech inspection.
