Pulled the PA today. It was busted, Turns out speakers don't work so well when they're full of ice...

BABY FLEXIN

Woke up to a leaking upper radiator hose. Can't believe Toyota red coolant is $30 a gallon?!?!?

Organized some wires today!

Finally ran my amp wires under the carpet so I could turn it sideways. Now I don't have wires all over the place.

Moved my CB mic mount. Looks cleaner.

My exhaust now with the deckplate mod.

18 inch magnaflow.

Thanks! Sometimes I wish I had the new 4.0. A little displacement never hurt. Then, I remember how easy to work on my little 3.4 is and I forget about it.

Put my sliders on last night!

This guy's shop was huge! A corvair, 2 studebakers, a two of bikes, and old Ford pickup he was restoring, an MG, a Mustang an Amphicar, a Model A and a few others. This guy is where I want to be.

Only picture I have so far.

Left early this morning and now I'm back at JMU. Sadly, this means the modding will slow down a bit now.

So, I went to Shoe Creek with like 30 other Tacoma guys this weekend. It was sick. Wind chill around 0 and a whole lot of snow made it awful. Took a girl on our second date there too, which was probably the dumbest thing I've ever done, but it worked out.

Met my buddy to put on his all pro bumper before we went and it ended up taking a little longer than we thought. We ended up hauling ass to shoe and got there around 10. Setting up a tent in the pitch dark in zero degree weather in the snow in the mud... gross.Worst night of sleep of my life.

Went to park my truck in the last spot I could find and ended up sliding down the hill sideways. I had to fold in my mirror to get into the spot. The next morning, I had to have my buddy use his tow strap to keep me from sliding into the tree as I pulled out.

We did my diff breather extension that morning in preparation for the creek crossing. I'll get a pic later.

Then we went out and had fun! I was the only stock suspension guy there, but I tore it up. Cleared a ton of things some bigger guys got stuck on and drove out of there with just a few scratches.

My stupid saggy stock suspension goes full stuff over nothing...

I also ended up finally giving my rear springs their death blows. They're both fully negative now and I'm getting a terrible wheel hop issue when I'm hard on the brakes, which sucked coming back down the mounting after the trip.

All of us at the end of the trail before we split ways.

All in all, it was the coolest thing I've ever done and it was awesome meeting all those dudes. I can't wait to wheel some more with all of them!

Also got a video of the one obstacle that wasn't hard but I managed to mess up, haha.

A guy in a jeep came through with an xterra and passed us while we were talking after the second crossing.

You can't imagine the amount of shit talk on the radio after that.

With my tax return coming soon, I'm thinking it's time to replace my suspension

Now I'm thinking

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-135659-toyota-tacoma-6-lug-rcd-bilstein-5100-series-front-ride-height-adjustable-1995-5-2004-pair-front-rear.html">http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-13565 ... -rear.html</a><!-- m -->

and

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/...ngs_p_144.html">http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/...ngs_p_144.html</a><!-- m -->

and I can pick the extra bushings and stuff up from toytec too.

Not sure if I need a diff drop kit or not...

I can't speak for Yotas but you'll love those OME springs. The more weight you have in the vehicle the smoother they ride. I need to fix the shackle angle in the XJ to improve the ride when it's not loaded down.

OME + Bilstein will be a great combo. Bilsteins are also on the "to-buy" list.

Good to hear! My toolbox is ful and I'd assume it's around 300 pounds, so hopefully that'll weigh them down a bit. Know anything about their break in period?

You'll make quick work of them riding around with 300lbs of tools... I think I've had mine in about a year and they haven't "settled" yet. I.E. losing lift. I've heard guys running them for years and not losing any lift. I think yours and mine are both the OME HD, but I could be wrong. The beauty of buying OME and paring them with their shocks is that they've done all the engineering to make it work together.

OME spring were engineered to handle and function all at various terrains/loads. That's why a lot of the Exp/Dakar guys run them.

Good to hear! Glad there's someone here to give me offroading advice, haha.

Just need to wait for my tax return and a paycheck or too. Still debating on whether or not to get a diff drop. I have an A.D.D. so my CVs are always turning. Then again, 2 1/2" isn't THAT much. Not sure if they'll bind.

I'm thinking of this wheel here and wrapping it in a 33x10.5x15 either BFG AT or KM2s.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://wheelersoffroad.com/product/wheels-lug-nuts-472532/15x8-black-toyota-steel-wheels/">http://wheelersoffroad.com/product/whee ... el-wheels/</a><!-- m -->

Of course, this is down the road. I have no money and plenty of life on these tires, so I'll be rolling on these well into the lift.

Looks like you have your eye on premium stuff. Should be a smooth riding machine on and off the road. What do you do with swaybars?
