the rain makes it A LOT harder to rock climb or do any of the trails. They stayed in the Green/Blue combos (usually low and mid level trails) because sliding off rocks (getting on and off or through long sections), deep water (hides fun things), and it makes off camber stuff semi tricky because of traction. all the trail leaders decided to back it off a little until things dried out becasue in the rain they mark every trail 1/2-1 level higher.

there arent a lot of pictures of water or long climbs because i was busy in the passenger seat of the TJ looking pretty.

Sylvia need to hunt for tires before going out in the rain again (at least 40k miles and 3 yearly trips to rausch). there were a couple of times where the balding AT2s lost grip and she came off a rock under power and landed on the engine skid (its why it is there). its also tough for her since she has 3 pedals and working a line up hill you have to pick your path on the go.

Cabell and Sylvia again were the smallest rigs in the group and doing everything the bigger guys could do (except pizza rock, which is where sylvia had to pull the group leader off the rock... 3 inches of lift and 33s on the LJ).

this year i drove at champ heep and sylvia was off at some work conference so no cool high rez pictures for me. I do think Cabell has some though!

Sporting some new aluminum armor this year… with just a little lift we need to start shedding the LBS to maximize it.


We had some booboos this year… no big deal… just minor stuff. I’m not even sure she used her skid plates this year… she did use the trailer hitch gong a couple of times though!

Trail pictures never do it justice. They always just look like "Jeeps on pebbles" when in reality they're mountains.

True that Tayolor. That one pic of the XJ going doing the rock face was insanely steep. You would never tell from the pictures.

AND it was slick. the bypass was almost as steep but not slick.
