Pocket Tools

Picked up the Gerber Crucial, not the one off the internet though, apparently they revised it at some point of this is a TARGET special, But they got rid of the stupid carabiner/bottle opener, in favor of a can opener and a corkscrew. Only had it for a few hours, light, very easy in the pocket on a clip, sturdy, well made. I read some complaints about the phillips head screw driver, and i can see why, seems pretty worthless, its basically like a flat head, but other than that, I think im gonna like it alot!

Stupid one with the Carabiner...

I read the same about the philips. I wouldn't mind one that had a corkscrew, can opener AND bottle opener for every day use. I recognize a corkscrew and bottle opener are pretty useless in "survival" situations, but I can see myself getting a decent amount of use from days week in and week out.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
