Leaf springs aren't bad, at least with a Cherokee. Cabell, when I add a leaf or remove one, I just a big C clamp as close to the pin as possible. Sometimes the pins are hateful to remove, the bolt usually ends up breaking. All in all, it's not a bad job.

That's usually the process I use as well Colton.
I was able to install the new hubs, brakes and axle seals this weekend. Hubs were a bitch to get off and I broke a brand new Harbor Freight break bar. Brand new Craftsman did the trick. Should have known better.
Jeep stops a little better and my ears tell me it's a little quieter after the new hubs were installed. All peace of mind knowing know the wheels won't just fall off. hock:
I'll have to work with DJ's Garage to find out when his lift is free of use from other customers for the add a leafs.
Snapped some pics during the snow. Finally installed my Add-a-leaf and shims. No more vibes and Jeep is back up to her normal height!

What size tires are you running nowadays? I don't remember from when you told me at Turducken.

32x11.5r15.
Thinking I may go for 4.56 regear and run 33x10.5 in the new KO2's (Sound familiar? ). Has always been a dream to run those tall and skinny tires.
For now I 'm just going to make sure maintenance is good to go. The only real foreseeable future mod is to relocate my lower shock mounts up onto the axle (Kaan?) as with my full lift is very closing to eliminating my down travel. Moving the shocks up would get me an easy 4/5 inches of up travel back.
I really need to do something about the factory rear bumper. Just looks half-assed back there.

I know the feel on slow progress. Mine is 3 years in the making and still haven't finished the suspension work I started over a year and a half ago. I'm still on my stock tires.

Time & Money. Usually they never happen at the same time..
Great weekend doing some trail riding and camping with the Overland Society this past weekend. Big fire, low 20 temps and a helluva lot of Toyota's in one place. Still a great time to meet folks and learn something new. A lot of really nice rigs out there.
Couple of pics I snapped for your enjoyment Taylor.. Still working through the rest.

Sweet pictures! Makes me want something newer, or something older. You and colton make me want an XJ.

Fin.
For the last few months I've been flirting with selling the XJ. My heart and wallet wasn't in it anymore to modify or keep up with maintaining/tinkering with it. I really wanted to free up the cash and time to move onto the next thing.
So I put out some feeler ads on CL and a few sites and eventually a guy from just within the area came and took her away tonight. The price was right given all that I had put into it and I now no longer need to spend time/money/brain power on what to do next on the XJ. It was a fantastic vehicle for what it was and served me unconditionally in every way. So many great times and memories.
Now my focus is on building the 4Runner right. However, that door is always revolving and something has to fill the void that is now there..
And you didn't even make a post here?

No, I didn't. Wasn't the right market.
My feelings are hurt. Congrats though! More money for the 4runner

Not much. Foreseeable future is to fully wire the fridge, get in on the RCI Offroad groupbuy for aluminum skids, and possibly trade the limited 18" wheels for the 17" 8 spoke FJ wheels.
I told you, the door is always revolving and now I have cash on hand.

Joey Klimchuk with a strong first suggestion! Getting warmer. You're in the right category.
