The trusty Ranger has served its purpose well, but my need for a bigger truck finally outweighed my need for good gas mileage. Hopefully one of you guys can give it a new home. Already has an MM sticker!
Regular Cab, XLT, 2.3L I4, 5 speed, 2WD. Runs and drives great, and everything works as it should. VA inspection good through February of 2017. I bought the truck just for the gas mileage, and I've gotten over 30MPG before with all highway driving. Oil has been changed religiously, and the radiator was replaced about 7,000 miles ago. Other than that, it hasn't needed anything fixed, and it still doesn't (with the exception of the fact that it could use tires eventually). I have all maintenance records from the previous owner, and I believe that I am owner number 3.
Includes a crappy Tractor Supply toolbox. Also comes with a Dual DIN head unit and subwoofer, if you're into that kind of thing.
Asking $5,000, but I'll work with MM people.
Thanks!

I got my letter from Honda the other week about the fit being recalled for the airbag killing people. Fox won't be available until summer, but it mentioned talking to the dealer about concerns driving it or for alternative transportation until the fix is available.
Since I like talking to derships as little as possible, has anyone heard about the temp wheels situation, or a dealer actually providing that?

Hey all,
As i have mentioned before I have been planning to swap my car over to a manual for a long time and have been looking into different options and such and was just looking to get some opinions from the other members on a possible approach.
Hawksthirdgenparts who takes in salvage cars and such has a package to swap both a 3rd gen camaro and a 4th camaro over to a t56 from an automatic. I have read that the t56 before 98 need a different input shaft and tail shaft but I am not completely sure.
Here is the one option im trying to get some input for:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/camaro-firebird-98-02-ls1-6-speed-conversion-complete/">http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/camar ... -complete/</a><!-- m -->
The 4th gen pedals can be adapted to my car but I would need to purchase the swap trans cross member, shift plate, and a few other things so we can say probably an extra $300 plus the initial cost and whatever shipping will come to.
Here is the link for the conversion made just for the thirdgen but it uses the lt1 style t56 instead of the ls1. Since I have the ls1 already I figure the ls1 style is the simple choice.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/camaro-firebird-82-92-6-speed-t56-conversion-complete/">http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/camar ... -complete/</a><!-- m -->
Thanks for any advice and such,
Hope this is in the right place haha

Was just looking at SpeedHunters today and stumbled upon this outfit that's running a giveaway for 'Ring rentals (EU only ).
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.r-garage.de/">http://www.r-garage.de/</a><!-- m -->
The prices look pretty damned reasonable per lap, and they have a nice selection of cars. Would be cool to do a trip out to Germany, maybe hit up a factory tour or race, then spend a day or two lapping the Ring. It looks like there are even places that rent bikes too :twisted:
I think Chan and John are the only MM'ers who have driven the Nordschleife thus far, who else wants to join the club??? I don't know that I could line up a trip this year, but maybe in 2017?
Here are a couple of other Ring rental companies:

New to me 2006 Toyota 4Runner V8 Limited.
I spent a long time looking for a V8 4Runner around 100k and a reasonable price. I didn't want the limited mainly because of the leather seats, but after driving this loaded version it seemed worth it.
I picked this specimen up in Fredericksburg, VA for what I would call a very fair price after some negotiating. This particular example is loaded with leather, heated seats, sunroof, navi, JBL sound system, power seats, tow package, etc. Only options missing are the 3rd row seating and XREAS/Air bag suspension. These would prove to be a pain with the long term goals.
Speaking of which, what are they? Well, I needed an all around vehicle that could go for longer trips. The Jeep can prove itself offroad, but 2 hours is about the max I want to spend driving it on the highway.This will hopefully serve many long years as a reliable people, gear, and toy hauler. Over time I'm hoping to build in creature comforts for longer trips to the outdoors and other destinations.
Definitely a small lift will come and a probably a set of sliders. No aggressive mud terrains for this one. Even the new BFG KO2 AT's maybe too aggressive for what I need the vehicle to do. Also, the current set of tires are practically brand new. I still have a lot of researching and learning to do from the Toyota and 4Runner community so expect the mods and updates to be slow.
Offhand, there are a couple of small items to address. I'd like to get a proper detail to see if the pinstriping can be removed. It's pretty cruddy. The LCD display for MPGs,temperature, etc. has one of the bulbs on it's way out. It's about a $3 part at the dealer. Couple of little trim pieces or covers inside could be replaced too. The interior is pretty minty except for the mats and those little things. Oh well. Only "mod" I can see right now is getting a set of WeatherTech Digital fit floor mats.
I plan on just driving it for the time being. With summer fast approaching having the sunroof open and that power rear window down is going to be pretty bitchin'. Might be my favorite feature of these vehicles. 306 ft-lb of torque doesn't hurt either.

Hey guys, need this bike gone ASAP. You can read the title, bike is in great condition, the only damage is on the bar ends and cranks, but usual stuff that's going to happen riding in the rocky terrain we have around here. Bike maybe has less than 60 miles on it, and that's a very high estimate.
Comes with generic Shimano clipless pedals (can't remember name right now) and Shimano mtb shoes if you fit a 9.5-10.
Size is 17.5", which fits me great at just about 6' even.
I have the shock pump and a tire pump to go with it, and can sweeten the deal with a Camelbak M.U.L.E. if that's your thing.
$2,000, or low low MM price of $1,800 for members/alumni.
Currently in North 38 in my garage. Never left outside/uncovered.

I'm working in Rosslyn for the next few months and the weather is getting nice, anyone down for lunch this Wed/Thurs/Fri? We don't necessarily have to stay in Rosslyn either, could always hit up something like Texas Jacks (new BBQ place that replaced Eat Bar) or whatever.
