  2018 Spring Karting @ G-Force Feb. 17th
Posted by: Chinampa - 01-06-2018, 07:47 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (83)

Happy new year to all and hoping everyone is able to stay warm in this weather. Our spring karting will be held this year on February 17th from 9am-11am, G-Force Karting 4245 Carolina Ave, Richmond, VA 23222

Our timeslot runs from 9-11 but everyone should be there by at least 8:30 so we can make sure everyone is registered and accounted for.

Current members are $30 and alumni & friends of the club are $40.

Closed toed shoes are required, long pants are recommended. The building can get pretty cold so a jacket is a good idea

We will probably split into 10 teams but we'll work them out once people are accounted for

  BMWphiles - F31 Purchase Heeelp
Posted by: Steve85 - 12-22-2017, 06:41 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (39)

I've become more and more taken by the F31 and very interested in one. I kind of have one picked out and want to talk to the owner. What do I need to know? What do I need to ask? It has pretty much everything I'm looking for. Here is the car:

http://www.lamborghinicarolinas.com/vehi...d-19682688

It seems priced OK, a lot of options. I'm finding that the M Sport package is not really everything so things like adaptive suspension, M brakes and I think a few other things are options on top of that.

Appreciate any input / guidance from the BMW gurus here!

Find a good price on something we probably don't need, but want? Throw it in here.

I came across these and it seemed to good to be true but 2 buddies and I just got 5 each. Same ones I got from Lowe's for $75 a pop. The guy had maybe 60+ shelves. Some kind of document storage place that is upgrading to pallet size.

  2003 Miata
Posted by: Scott - 12-14-2017, 01:07 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (9)

Unlikely anyone here would be interested, but I might as well list it.

And so it continues.....

2003 Miata LS, one of 17xx made in Garnet red.  I purchased the car with 37k and it currently has 60k miles.  The original 16in wheels have been replaced with 15 Chaparal wheels with newer tires.  I have also added the OEM wood steering wheel and shift knob from an '01 SE.

Factory hardtop (original factory paint)
5 speed manual
Parchment Interior with leather-trimmed seats
Parchment vinyl boot
Parchment Cloth convertible top
Tochigi-Fuji torque-sensing limited-slip differential
Aluminum-like interior trim, including air vent bezels, center panel, door handles, shift-plate bezel and parking brake button
Power door locks
Remote keyless entry
Cruise control
Windblocker panel
Bose music system with door mounted tweeter speakers

It is not "mint", as it has been driven and enjoyed. It's a 3 owner car that has always been garaged, covered and regularly serviced. There is one small quarter sized ding on the fender and a small scratch on the rear bumper. The drivers seat shows some wear.  No accidents or rust.  When I drive to work, it is parking in a parking garage.

Not shown, parchment boot cover as well as the original parchment floor mats (bagged and stored in the basement as they are made of "unobtanium")

  1999 BMW M3 - Hellrot on Black 138k Miles $14k
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 12-07-2017, 11:46 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (53)

I bought this car ~8 months ago after a year long search for an E36 M3 that wasn't a dumpster fire.  I wanted a four seater that was fun that my kid could ride in.  A week later and my son was born.  Then I tried baby seats in the back of it and wasn't comfortable, not for my first born, maybe my second.  I held onto it as a car just for myself, but it kind of stinks the drives you do by yourself (work, maybe an errand...okay 99% work).  So fast forward 8 months and I bought a car with anchors for baby seats and a step up in safety.  Now, I don't have room for everything.

This car is in fantastic shape but it is not a collector car so please expect small scratches and evidence of being driven.  I bought it to drive it!  There is clear coat peeling and damage to the front lip.  It doesn't detract from the car but cold use replacement.  The front seats show a little more wear than the pictures show justice, but considering this is a 1999 they are in great shape and have no tearing.

Half the modifications/maintenance were done by me, the other by the previous owner.

  1994 Miata
Posted by: Scott - 12-07-2017, 10:01 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (10)

With the impending birth of my son, I am re-prioritizing some car choices and having 3 Miata track cars is probably a little excessive and I'd like to get something "fun" I can put a stroller in the back of.  This car was being built as a fun autocross, time trial car, but has yet to be tracked.

1994 Mazda Miata, 111k, originally red, currently wrapped in black (was going to do graphics over it to match my Spec Miata)  Hard top and soft top in good condition.  Also has AC.  There is a little rust in the lower rocker panels.

Torsen limited slip differential
Hard dog hardcore roll bar
Tein coilovers
Racing Beat intake
Racing beat cat back exhaust

Does not come with the 949 wheels in the pictures, it will come with stock NB Miata wheels with good tires.

$4500
