Car Show Question
#1
What kind of promotion is going into the car show? Do we have a dyno set up? We have always mentioned promoting the car show by parking a car or two right in front of d-hall (like the frat guys do for days on end in their mobile homes). Is this being done this year? Its always been a really good idea to be in the middle of campus to promote the car show. What kind of promotion is going into the car show? Do we have a dyno set up? I think we have a really good date this year for it and later than usual so hopefully good weather.

Just wondering as an alumni it makes it really hard (aka impossible) to go to the wednesday meetings where this discussion may be taking place. The car show is our largest fundraiser for the club in the past so id like to see a ton of effort (it may be being done but I know at least I am out of the loop). We have fairly active alumni on the board, make sure that as current students you use that resource to your (the club's) advantage.

Going along what DJ said, I think last year (beyond the date falling on the worst day - Easter :lolSmile, the fliers/forum postings came out a bit late. Exposure is everything, early exposure is key. Again, this IMHO, but I kinda have some experience with that - they should be created/posted right about now Smile

EDIT: Please have a dyno so that I can unleash the hamsterpowerzz

Ninja'd again: a legit forum post in the Events section would be sweet. I'm too lazy to dig up emails and shit...

Working on Dyno as we speak... Should have a Sit-Rep by the end of the day

Tentatively it is going to be Saturday April 2nd. Will most likely be set in stone very soon..

Brilliant!! For once I wouldn't have to detour that area in order to avoid being annoyed by other clubs on my way to class.

Apparently you have to schedule time in front of dhall almost a year in advance... so we do not have that option for this year's show unfortunately.

I enjoyed last years show, but I noticed a distinct lack of strippers. What is being done to remedy this situation?

Let me know the exact date and times for the car show and I will let PushingLuck the VDub club know so they can rep at our car show Smile Also, give me some flyers to put at Mid Atlantic and I'll see what I can do about getting some sponsorship out of MAM or maybe some type of detail demo because we have an awesome detail guy now on staff. I'll be posting the "official" ad for the show this week sometime and will bring flyers by for y'all. Already spoke with Greg and he is going to try and bring some stuff out. A detail demo would be awesome -- I remember Ciro did that our freshman year and it generated some interest.
