Tire Suggestions...
#1
Hey guys, got a question for yall... We since my grand time autocrossing today I have pretty much shredded the front left tire on the ol' waggie.. My rears are just fine, I'm looking to purchase a good All-season performance tire to replace the two up front.. I'll just rotate the rears to the front and replace the two shredded guys because the rears still have great tread left.. I greatly appreciate yall's suggestions.

There's a thread for this in the Technical Discussion forum IIRC, check it out for a lot of good writeups and reviews.

My vote is for Ziex 912s

How good are they for say rain and snow... It looks as those tires are more suited for dry/light rain conditions? More close to a summer tire??

We just put some Kumho AST (ASX?) I don't remember on our 325 a month ago, they're pretty cheap, seem to perform well and are supposed to be *ok* in snow. We'll see.....

I just check tirerack and read reviews, I'm sure you can find something

these are 2 of the tires I'm considering for my other set of wheels.

Ive had all season falken tires in the snow before and they did poorly. My nexens were cheaper and I had more traction with those.

cabell - what is your tire size.

This would require another set of wheels.... Don't really need snow tires as the snow fall here in the Hburg is not epic...

And to Kyle's post tire size is 205/55-16

^^ Just want to point out that the G-Force sport, first tire on that page, got horribly loud about halfway through the tread life. Not saying there is anything wrong with that list of tires in general, just my personal experience with one of the options.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...

Same experience for me, other than the noise, I think its a legit tire.

Ziex 912 are fucking awesome.

Sticks like a summer tire in the dry, and does admirably in the snow.
