Hi everyone, my name is Amanda Garbim. I'm not a new MM member but I currently started to get more involved in the club. I'm sophomore and my major is International Affairs. My older brother is a member too and I'm here because of him. Basically, he is the reason why I'm interested in cars but my true love is motorcycles. I have two motorcycles, one Kawasaki Ninja 300cc and a Honda CRF 230cc, which I made as a motard. Unfortunately, it's been one year since the last time I drove my motorcycles because they are back home in Brazil and I'm here for college. I started to ride motorcycles when I was 15 years old influenced by my father, who races with me. In the first picture, my bike is the purple one (the most beautiful bike) and my dad's bike is the green one. The second picture is my motard.
Excellent, welcome! I'm sure we can help you find a moto to keep here for terrorizing people on campus.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a van is a good guy with a van
Welcome to the forums! Glad to have you around at all the track events!
I hope you can find a cheap bike to keep at JMU while you're here.

Are you planning on bringing the motorcycles or getting motorcycles here in the US or leave them in Brazil and use/race them there?
Welcome! If you're ever itching for some track time on a bike here, I'm sure G.Irish could set you up. I love the fact you and your dad race together. #ParentGoals

I'm planning to get one motorcycle here in the US because bringing them from Brazil is more expensive, it's not worth. hahaha So I leave them in Brazil and race there.

Cool! What city did you visit?

It's a Honda CRF 230cc 2015, I bought the bike brand new and I turned it as a motard. It's a nice bike but the only problem is that it is manufactured in Brazil so the chassis is very heavy. I changed the wheels, the breaks to a race one, the sprocket, tires, exhaust, and the whole brake system. Now I have to adjust the suspension, it's still as a dirt bike suspension.
LOTS of them... we had an exchange student from Brazil for 8 years. I spent several summers there racing karts with my exchange students fiancé (now husband). They lived in Brazilia but we traveled all over the country racing the local tracks.

That's nice. Brazilia has a really cool racetrack. If you miss Brazil, feel more than welcome to come to my city (São Paulo) to visit and maybe race in some cool racetracks, like the racetrack Interlagos.

We definitely hit a course in Sao Paulo. I think it was a dedicated kart facility... I know it had an indoor section with grand stands and TVs up so spectators could see you when you were on the outside section. The most high tech stuff I ever saw in the early 1990s.
You could rent karts there normally but they hosted "bring your own karts" races too with classes.
