Feeler: Buy my SV650?
#1
Figured I'd make a post here as a complete feeler if anyone in MM is actually interested. The local Suzuki Powersports is having a sale and I could buy a brand new, 0 mile 2019 DRZ400SM for about $6k with tax, tags, blah blah. I would very much like some supermoto in my life.

Everything you might want to know about my SV. We can talk moneyz via PM if you're serious.

Impulse buy? I can finance that shit @ 4% for 60 months. Stop drinking fancy IPAs and boom. There's my monthly payment. Which I'll just pay down in like a year. Believe it or not I can do maths.  Smile It's just a feeler bro.

Whoolies are dumb and 1 one way ticket to a...well ticket. That was the biggest group of idiots I ever rode with. It sounds counter-intuitive, but less HP sounds fun. I'm not owning two bikes. One is enough.

I'm staying far FAR away from the Husky or anything else boutique. Maintenance on those things is stupid.

Agreed. I wonder how much of that has to do with the latest Euro4 standards?

Get a Ducati... Or something else. I haven't looked but I think everyone makes a more modern looking supermoto over Suzuki.

If you put tires on it, you can ride my bike anytime you want for up to two years or 5000 miles. Whichever comes first

Don't want to deal with the maintenance of the Duc and sure everyone makes a more modern looking supermoto which comes in at 2x the cost.

The Hypermotard is much heavier and more than twice the cost.  The other supermotos are all heavier and pricier.  The DRZ-400SM is in some ways the only supermoto on the market that is true to the formula.

The only negative is that it really should be a 450 with modern 450 level power.  But no one makes such a bike, so the DRZ is as good as it gets.
