Hello all! Turducken has become tricky in the last year or two, so let's get started planning early.
http://www.jmu.edu/registrar/students/ac...ndar.shtml
Who is open to host? Zach and I would host, but we live in an apartment with no parking, no space, and we're 2 hours from JMU.
Weekends that are a NO-GO.
November 11-12: Summit/ Football vs Richmond
November 18-19: Dorms are closed for Thanksgiving
November 25-26: Students moving back from break
November 4-5 Seems like the perfect weekend for this. Let's plan for then?
maybe we could rent out a cabin somewhere local? If enough people go it shouldn't be too much.

2014 Crew Cab Tacoma

We try to find a good central location to Nova and JMU since this is an Alumni and Current student event. Not a bad idea though. We may have the usual location at Kaan's house in Front Royal setup.

Yeah, I see that too. Must have gotten messed up with the forum upgrade.
I fixed the link so it's clickable, just goes to the academic calendar for the year.
Now:

I would definitely suggest an AirBnb cabin or something. Unfortunately if it's the 4th I'm out.
If you guys rent a cabin I'm down to pitch in. Nov 4-5 works for me.

On it, guys. Looking into cabins in a neutral location.

Still actually haven't had time to look into this.
Can I get a head count for what alums might be willing to chip in for this? Me and G shouldn't foot this ourselves.

So far it looks like I can go. I can also pitch in.
I think having a date and location would be helpful before figuring out who can go...

How does two nights at this cabin sounds? MM Retreat/Turducken! Hot tub and everything! Split $600 between a few people. November 4-6.

Interested - that looks like a pretty rad cabin and I'll probably be itching for a GTFO-Nova excursion around then. Getting on the fence.
So, I contacted Dave and he is a no-go. So, this basically confirms it will have to happen in a cabin or house rental somewhere. Taylor's suggestion looks fine unless someone has a better idea we now need alumni to step forward and decide if they are coming and help foot some of the cost.
The cabin is a two day rental minimum for a weekend.
I'm 3 hours away so if I'm coming I will pay and would also like a place to stay the night then.
We can continue the fun the next day if more alumni or students want to stay.
Once my credit card clears my payments, I'll go ahead and reserve it and no matter what, we can get some Mm Shenanigans going there.
