little update... I "broke" the bent gas pedal when unloading the car... i'm not sure why it was bent so badly, but i could never heel toe with this pedal setup... SO i just ordered a new set of OEM pedals and a throttle cable (all the other brake/clutch stuff is new)... i also have some bling bling pedal covers to add #ricer... and for your pleasure, a picture form VIR... going slow

I don't hate the orange blue combo as much as I thought I did. But can you please spray bomb the hood and bumper to match?

LOL... so the hood is going carbon... and i'm deciding on what vents to use on the carbon hood (i have several at this point).

the whole car is hopefully going to get a respray in the stock blue (EBP) color... she's still ghetto for now, but not for too much longer i hope. I'm not rich, so its going to be a one of those $800 single stage sprays Wink

I still can't believe you were there all weekend and I didn't realize until I accidentally parked next to you in the paddock.

Just a couple of pictures from VIR... I want to get a little more wheel time at Summit and maybe get my kid bothers lips burnt on the go fast crack pipe... So i'll be there pedaling around, I'm trying to talk him into a hyperdrive... but I really need to get my butt in gear for the off season.

I need to:
  • Build the B18C1 (I already have started prepping the block to be on the stand... stupid ricers)
  • COIL ON PLUG... distributors suck, never again
  • Rebuild the Trans with new 5th gear and 4.928 FD
  • Install my nets
  • Figure out how to get this kill switch to work
  • Figure out the rain light
  • Prep the car for paint/livery/sticker package

I know it's all mismatched, but there's something about this car I really like. It has so much character. Can't wait to see the finalized livery.

my sponsorship package came in the mail... prepare for a "sticker" placement pole somewhere on the internet.

I need to figure out the bumper/grill situation and get my replacement "headlights" in there. she's so trashy.

Hurray for late updates… life gets busy as soon as the off season hits. Thanksgiving, Christmas… and lots of work to do on the car in between (and after).

Summit Point with NASA MA is always a blast. I get to sleep in my own bed and it’s a fun little 10 turn (2 mile) track. The bonus was I got my kid brother out on track for the first time… he got to “hyperdrive” the #civicofdoom. Needless to say he is hooked. He did take it easy while driving and he was eager to jump in the passenger seat and have some fun too.

Daylight savings time is good for ONE thing… glowing rotor pictures.

I am picking up speed… but I need to get faster… sure I’m driving the B20 150lbs over weight and with a “stock” GSR trans (with mfactory diff)… but I cant rely on the machine to make me faster.

Stay tuned for some progress… Chad hooked me up with a B18C1 block… there are a mountain of parts from IPGparts.com and AFH (B18C build plus an overhaul of the trans) … and the car is getting prepped for a respray. Its time to get motivated!

oh oh... I almost forgot... we didn't break it.

i need to finish stripping the trunk, remove all the quiklatches, gut the new door... and pray its not a HUGE bill for paint lol

its going to MAACO ... so i dont anticipate it being too expensive... the local one has painted a lot of NASA MA cars.

Can't you just look online at their pricing? Isn't it like $800 for a full car?

sure its $400 to +$3000 for a paint job there. the cost is the body work. none of those price quotes is for body work. I'm getting the car assessed to see how much body work they think it needs and i will adjust the paint quality as needed to fit my budget.

all the NASA guys have gone with the $400 paint job lol

why not pull off the panels that need paint and have them paint matched to the rest of the car?

its hard to tell, because I keep the car dirty... but the whole car needs paint. I'll be pulling the bumpers, lights, etc. and giving them my good fenders and stuff to paint. Currently the car has 3 shades of EBP stock paint Undecided

its kind of hard to see all the stuff wrong with the car in crappy track pictures... but in person its pretty bad overall.

Paint and go. Feel a lot better getting right into T3 when you know you have bad bodywork anyway.
