Judging by this chart
I'd say Gin, Vodka or Rubbing Alcohol. Really depends on his mood for the day!
I feel like they should put a gallon of PCP in the top right corner.

Sidenote: Everything Fevertree makes seems to be amazing. Tonic, great. Ginger beer? Great. Elderflower tonic? Oh man. A+, would G&T it every time. Just FYI.
You had me at Ginger Beer.
Just for Rex!
Random mixing here though. Normally much more thoughtful in my Pina coladas. Frozen fresh cut pineapple would have been much better but just got an itch to try this banana cream room rum.
Am I doing this right?!

Just before getting serious about my weight loss I was playing around with Moscow Mules and a Dublin Sidecar. I took a salt-to-taste approach given my preference for a sweeter cocktail. If it's tropical outside and I'm at a bar, frozen pina colada with an extra shot of rum on top is my go to.
Moscow mules were fun because they are easily transformed by crushing up some blackberries or other into the mug first. Also recommend the Fever-tree brand ginger beer for these.
Our daily driver is a simple vodka (Pinnacle, because we can't get Kirkland here in VA) with diet sierra mist and then throw in a splash of lemon or mandarin flavored vodka if in the mood. If you're watching carbs, Absolute flavors are carb free, Pinnacle are not.
I prefer my upside down conical shaped glass filled with pure alcohol drink to be vodka based and really enjoy a "Nutty Goose". Vodka, a bit of Frangelica and lemon zest. Shaken or stirred, doesn't matter because if you're making a martini, your alcohol should come from the freezer. Speaking of James Bond, A buddy who is a bit of a James Bond fan and a huge fan of martini's made me a "vesper martini" and it was...interesting. No desire to have another.
Haven't really experimented with scotch / bourbon but interested in ideas. Also have some interesting moonshines from a distillery near Harper's Ferry that I need to get busy on figuring out what I want to do with.

I'll probably be laughing about that chart all day, thank you
I have little to contribute as 200 bucks buys me one of each from the bottom shelf and I rarely spend more than 10 seconds mixing a drink, if I even bother mixing with anything. My only suggestion is if your go-to bourbon/whiskey is Jim Beam, save yourself some $ and try Black Velvet (in a plastic jug, bonus!). Like scotch, it's only really "good" if you're on the top shelf.
And Camarena is the cheapest decent 100% agave (real) tequila I've found.

What should I mix if I want to ride a bike through someone's house or climb on top of a Ford Windstar?

Red bull and aristocrat vodka, OBVIOUSLY.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Finished my bottle a couple weeks ago. I need to get another one. That's my favorite bourbon whiskey at the moment.

OOh, that reminds me. There is a local guy with a new spirits brand that is herb infused. I had a bit of the vodka over ice and first impression was delish, the basil does play a dominate but not overpowering role. "Dr. Stoner's"

I didn't realize that was from Winchester.
I've had it, it's...it's interesting. I think I had the smokey herb, and really thought it was better suited to cocktail creation.

We also visited this place for a tasting. We did it as part of a kayak tour which was pretty cool. They have a lot interesting flavors and tons of recipes on their site to support the flavors. It's been a while, but I seem to remember part of rules for being able to have this distillery was that x percent of the stuff has to be grown on site so they have a green house with lemon trees, pumpkins, herbs, etc. It's not as big as the wineries, but same idea, just with "moonshine".

flavored spirits are usually one trick ponies, they dont work great with most cocktails or on their own. best to avoid them, IMO. If you want herbs, grow some on your porch and use them in your cocktail.

The actual liquor being smokey or herb flavored doesn't sound enticing to me. I would rather have those flavors from other ingredients in the cocktail.
