I know this may sound stupid, but plan a day to go to an amusement park. Go to Busch Gardens or Kings Dominion, or Hersheypark is like 2 hours from you. Go ride rollercoasters all day.
Or take a day off and go play golf all day. I mean.... the things I could do with a day off, no kid and a little expendable income.

appreciate the offer. i'd be coming from GA though so for something like the dragon i'm about 5 hours out so probably closer to there than you are. my family is in Roanoke so i know that part of VA very well for driving roads...in fact i'm leaving some presents on the MM Map as we speak!

Well my wife got laid off today. 2nd company in 3 years. 1st was due to reorganization within the company. This time was due to the merging of multiple companies and duplicate positions. 2 weeks severance. Real nice after she kept the department alive and operating all alone since her coworker just ghosted the company and never showed up one day.

How do you guys feel about telling a company you're willing to relocate when interviewing knowing you're probably not going to when the time comes. It would be a year out but the promotion from a assistant trainee manager to manager kinda depends on going where they need a manager I guess. It's not something I would normally do but getting pretty desperate. Not even hearing back from pretty much all other applications. Of course only reason I heard back from this so fast is cause it was through a staffing agency.
