I commented to the wife yesterday that a bunch of people are buying GTIs and 328s on this site. I asked her to reward me for being ahead of the curve. She declined.

Called em.
Came in off a lease, maintained by them and another BMW dealer. It is CPO. Said they have no problems shipping/dealing with out of state purchases. Guy I spoke with was real nice, he was the sales manager.
Asked for pics, plus pics of any rock chips, seat/trim damage, etc
They are getting some weather, but said he would hopefully get it cleaned up and pics taken tomorrow. Any other info I needed, he would get sent over.
We will see....
put a deposit on it.

Anyone can be nice. Not everyone can be "Hold a car for someone 500 miles away and turn down people with cash at the front door" nice/stupid.
So what do we know about C7 S6 reliability? Did a little looking around and it looks like a few known TSBs, turbo coolant hose popping and even though the motor is stout, everyone says you should 100% have a CPO warranty

Lease on Casey's 5 is up in a couple of months so we went to test drive an 18 cx9 and an 18 cx5.
They gave us the keys to a 9 signature for the weekend.
Holy wow, 9 > 5 and it should be for the price difference. Even in 2 years they stepped up their game.
Compared to the 18 cx5, the 9 is quieter and rides nicer, but didn't lose much of the feel of the 5. IMO nothing beats either for their cost.
Dat rosewood...
So after having this for the weekend we are probably gonna ditch the 5 for a pearl white with black interior GT. When the time comes.
We probably won't go Signature. The GT literally has everything the Signature has minus the Leather color, rosewood trim and LED light surrounding the front grill.
It's $2k more, and I love the interior, but when leasing, the residual value is like 7% lower than a GT, and the black leather is still great.
Also, still in talks with the dealer in Mass. May not happen, they are a "No Haggle" dealer, but mileage and options for the price is still on point. We will see.
That's it prior to getting detailed....
if its what you want, just do it.

Make sure you pack your headphones and pirates booty.
Checked out the white/reddish Signature CX-9 at the Midlothian dealer while picking up some parts for the Jeep. Didn't even drive the thing, but seems pretty awesome. Definitely would've gone that direction had it existed back when we got the Jeep.

That's a solid deal, with the CPO. I wouldnt hesitate - I paid very fair market value for my last two wagons and no ragrets, its what I was looking for. That's a good color combo and options list and you wont have any trouble moving it along in a few years after you're done owning it.

These things are so reasonably prices these days. I think they've really come down in the last year, because there were no 2-2.5 year old cars under $40k when we were buying.
