Might I suggest a car that will not need constant repair, will work for the occasional track day and not break your back on the street and is easily faster than anything you have owned?

Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

Not a bad idea, although knowing you, I thought it'd be an old SHO.

I never titled the Pontiac either, although I had it about 3 weeks so definitely not the "quickest."

My 328i sedan was only in my hands for eight days.

Thanks for sharing, Chan. Nice to see we've all done stupid stuff.

When it comes to titles, I like to be careful. I

1) Make sure both of us sign it before I leave
2) Have two bills of sale that we both sign stated it is "as-is" (got it from the DMV website)
3) Get a temporary moving pass or trailer
4) Record a video of me and the buyer/seller shaking hands and verbally agreeing to the sale
5) Title and Register the car ASAP and I also call my insurance to add the car the day I buy it.

Since the friend who sold me the Firebird understood I was planning on flipping it, we agreed that if anyone asked, I was effectively selling the car on his behalf since he had no parking/storage space in DC proper. I wouldn't title jump something that was any other sort of scenario.

When I get the Ranger from my uncle's estate, I'll be titling and insuring it before I fly out to WA, and it'll be sold with my name on a Virginia title once I get it home.

Most insurance covers a vehicle purchase for 24 hours without you adding it to your policy, Geico always said it was fine. That said, I like peace of mind on the off chance I get t-boned leaving the seller's place.
