A little late (early?), but the 2017 College Solo is a go.
September 24th @ Augusta County Government Center

So far WVU & VCU have both confirmed that they'll be there and invitations have been sent out to other VA schools

Working on a t-shirt as well

Plan on a tailgate Saturday with MM and any invited clubs that want to come

I'm in! I'll hold off on registering as I'm in the same boat and may not have a car to drive.
Will there be a cookout or anything the day before? I think there's a home football game. Maybe an Mm Tailgate? If I don't have the Miata, I'll bring the 4runner and the Yeti.

Yeah, the 23rd is family weekend football game. MM tailgate would be a good idea

Count on an MM tailgate that saturday. We'd been planning one out already so that's perfect.

Okay, well just remember your car needs to be in the lot early as hell the day of the game if you want a spot at the tailgate. Honestly talk to Plaug's and try to get near the club golf tailgate since they have nice speakers and tons of beer. (Not that you shouldn't provide your own)
I'll probably split my time between the two.

I'll be in D2 for tailgating of anyone's wants to join. BYOB and food for grill if interested.
This applies to all home games btw. And you can typically park in the lot beside D2 if you are early enough and walk to our tailgate.

Does anyone have a co-driver seat open? The Miata will hopefully be sold by then.

Great job everyone! We had a fantastic turnout by the younger MM'ers! I believe we had 10-15 of us all 2013 grads or younger! Unfortunately, we lost to Tech by about a tenth of a second in Pax, but we all had fun! We had lots of novices out there absolutely killing it!
I had the pleasure of co-driving Jackson's M50 swapped E30 325is and it was one of the most fun events I've ever done. Usually I can be top 30 in PAX and still be dead last in ES behind the Miata guys who race every single weekend. The e30 was in SM and I was actually posed to take first place except for a cone penalty. Also driving something with more power and more weight made me realize that heat seriously affects tires. My second run after Jackson and I lit up the tires back to back was a slippery mess! This is also my first time driving anything close to being prepared as the this car had a suspension. Every other car I've driven has been on terrible brakes and factory 20 year old suspension. Really made my realize how far I've come as a driver! I had a lot of fun and I'm really proud of all of the new guys who came out and were fearless. Excited to see what these guys do this year!

Man, if I didn't suck this weekend we would've won. No idea what happened with me. Oh well. It was a 47.9 second course for STR but not with my driving this weekend.... 49.0 without a cone hit, 48.4 two runs with a cone hit while messing up in a few sections...

On another note, it was awesome seeing so many new faces. Hopefully the big turnouts continue
