Gotcha, sounds like standard fare for a lot of auto to manual swaps.

I was going to nag you about finally buying one of these stupid things, and then i searched on ebay and remembered how disgustingly expensive they are. I did find this though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-GS-GS300-1...ars_Trucks
Weird. I kinda like it.
Yeah, even for a market that has been re-goddamn-diculous since Brian O'Connor flashed his wavy golden locks on the big screen, things are starting to get downright bizarre. They're getting really hard to find (the for-sale section of Supraforums hasn't much changed in 6 months), and they've come back with a vengeance price-wise from the recession when they dipped down somewhat. It's a stratified market where people are asking stupid money for tired examples and well-priced drivers are sold instantaneously. Lower mile, fairly original cars? A few have started to go for 70k - some are banking on them being megabuck auction cars of the future so now they're starting to be "collected" by certain types of owners that have come into the fold. I like them, but I'm not that demented.
And as for the auto, it's not a total loss - they can be built for a few grand to take all you can throw at them, and a nice single on a built-auto 2JZ is pretty freakin' awesome.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I WANT IT SO. BAD.
Starting next month I'm going to have to plan my drives around town to give the VW dealers a wide berth, if I get too close I might do something stupid and come home with an MKVII.

For a car company that used to run commercials stating "un-pimp ze auto" that is pretty fast and furious.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I do like the yellow accents on the interior. Yellow on the exterior needs to go away though.
Eh, it's a concept. I bet most of it stays but the over-the-top rear diffuser gets ditched on the production model. With the exception of the badging and model # plates, the only yellow on the exterior is the accent line across the grill, which is the same style as the standard GTI one but yellow instead of red. I do agree though, not a huge fan. I like the simple silver line on the standard Golf R.
It'd be cool if they let you pick from a few different colors on the R400, especially considering that it's gotta cost at least $45k, but lately VW seems to be bundling up colors and options as much as they can. On the new GTI you get like 5 colors to choose from, and the only two standalone options are dynamic shocks and the "lighting package." Otherwise you have 3 option packages to pick from with no possible deviations, so the dude that wants a keyless and leather but no sunroof is screwed.

I love old Power Wagons, so I was very, very excited to come across this shop in Wyoming that restomods them to perfection (including available turbo diesel options). Not as excited at the price, but at least I know who to call when I win the lotto.

You need to get a set of drag pack Classics. But, you know, you should probably do the forged motor and mondo blower first to be able to put them to good use.
