Once upon a time I owned a CRX (for over 10 years)… I didn’t drive it much, I went through a lot of motors, but I loved that turd… anyway it went to a better home where it could be taken care of properly.
Sylvia and I were looking at buying a home and my commute was going to go from 11 miles to 70 miles. Obviously I couldn’t keep riding my motorcycle that distance year round, and because van pool companies SUCK at advertising… I needed to drive something for a while until I figured out the vanpool thing. MM came to the rescue.
One drunken night at Casa De Elsea, the master used car salesman (Jake) tweeted or facebooked (some social media BS I know very little about) about a 1994 Acura Integra RS. Rex, Julie, and Sylvia gave me the “DO IT” in their own special ways… so we started drunk texting and figuring out when I could come look at the Integra. I end up buying it on the cheap, putting a CX racing radiator in it “fix” the immediate issue (pissing radiator), and then later on I put in a clutch master and slave because it failed… Fast forward a little over 1 year…

I put about 35,000 miles on it in one year (really it was closer to 4 months)… I stayed warm in the winter, I only put about $500 into it… it has paid for itself. Obviously we moved out the “country,” as the city folks like to say… I “commute” 10 miles to van pool… I need 4wd… I buy a big red F150 to fit the bill. This is why the integra needs to be a garaged/once in a while kind of car…

So what now? Well I have a garage full of Derp parts, a set of jack stands, and a desire to finish something (insert Mikey, Evan, RJ, DJ, etc comments here). I’m a pro of letting random stuff get in the way and collecting parts on a deal. Hell I want to track and autox this year… but between getting married this year, vacation to Turkey to see my sick grandfather, my step dads college graduation party (this is just what comes to mind and I haven’t even looked at my calendar)… I’m burning money and my calendar is BOOKED… I might get to murder some cones this year, but I have to at least get the ball rolling.
This is going to be a two-step dance… Step one = suspension and make sure it doesn’t rust out on itself… Step 2 = K motor. Don’t worry, I’ll be hosting wrenching parties to get this done. Mostly because I’m good at breaking stuff and/or getting mad; someone needs to take over until I cool down or figure things out. We will supply the beer and food; you just need to eat, drink, take pictures, and laugh at me… deal?
The Plan!
Step One:
-Figure out how to get the LCA bushings out and the new ones in (I tired burning them but my torch isn’t hot enough, I’ve drilled and sawzalled but I keep nicking the LCA… I might just go with the sawzall)

-drive integra into garage… install jackstands
-Pull front and rear bumper… get tow hooks installed and seal up the metal you cant see with some Chassis Saver
- Spray every nut and bolt with Krohl Oil for a week
-Pull front and rear suspension, inspect all the bushings and nuts bolts, make sure replacements are ordered
-Repair the rust that is popping up in the rear quarters (they were repaired before but I’m 99% sure it was Maaco and they didn’t do it right)… I’ll have to cut and weld in some metal but not too much.
-Clean and seal fender wells front and rear… and all the suspension bits
-Install Koni/GC, spherical top hats, ASR rear brace, ITR rear bar, etc etc etc
-Adjust the suspension to where I want it
-Install 2.5 inch custom exhaust (I’m only doing engine mods that roll over to the K motor.. so this is it lol)
*** I own all the bits for step one except the chassis saver, but I’m going to lump that shipping in when I order all the monstaliner for the truck***

There is a step 1.5 if I can find (and I’ll take MM search engines help too!). Some dumb ass cut in an aftermarket sunroof and it leaks… but I cant tell if it’s the sunroof or the actual roof seals (or even the windshield). Either way a new windshield and sunroof removal is on the list. Once I figure out the roof issue (aka CF skin $$$, used RS roof skin $$, stick some metal over it) I’ll get new seals for it. I’ll also be doing safety equipment, so I need to find a roll bar (happy hunting). I’ll be buying seat and harnesses new I think.
I’ll also take tire recommendations for these:

No HooHoos… something that I can street to summit/Verona/etc. I’m thinking 205/50/15? I have a 15x6 spare to use.

still wont unseat the outer metal ring that seems to be what is really stuck.
