I'm glad you didn't go more than -2 for camber, just for the sake of tire wear vs. performance. Looks like a pretty good alignment though!

I think tire wear is more of an issue with incorrect toe settings vs. camber -- but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

To a point. When you're cambered out like those crazy guys in japan, you're gonna have uneven tire wear just because of the minimal contact patch. Shouldn't see anything like that with only 2 degrees.

The E36 shreds the inside of rear tires at -2* but I don't know if that's because of the camber or the factory toe-in. All the tire-chirping-shifts back in my youthful days also may have been a contributing factor. I wonder how my current alignment would treat tires over 10-20k miles. It's something like -3.5+ in the front, that can't be good for tires.

To illustrate a point, my convertible daily had -3.2 degrees up front with maxxed in the rear (about -2). zero toe all the way around. Never had abnormal wear.

If you are never hitting curves, minimize camber, and you can use a bit more toe as it will help the car track straight.

I actually ya know...use my cars. So I max camber, zero out toe and it all evens out between the spirited driving/highway driving/autox. Never corded a tie on the inside since my gsx days.

Yeah back then the fronts were at -1.7ish and they always wore evenly, i think the rears probably got shredded up between a combination of the toe and driving it hard. I did way too many powerslides in the winter on those summer tires. When I drive it now I'm usually looking for a corner to throw it into, but there are only so many places to do that in NOVA. I love the way the car feels now, and given that it's been retired to weekend-car status I don't really care if it eats the tires up.
