Kaan Wrote:i grow, rex brews... and various other people will brew lol Kaan, Pending growth size and your interest in monies.. I have a friend at JMU who is greatly into homebrew. I believe he may even be starting his own homebrew supply store/brewery. I'm sure he would be greatly interested in experimenting with local valley hops.

Wow, that's the best paint job those K1's have seen since Kosei did it.
Just so it's on record... they were silver from Kosei, Navin then painted them black, lime green, and bright blue. I "stripped the paint" and painted them dark gray, and now they're back to black. Can't wait to see the 'teg all done up!

I want them back..!

I took years off my life stripping these wheels lol. I took the whole face down to bare metal (taking off the last bit of PC from Kosei in some spots was a pain). I spent about 1 hour/wheel stripping them down. Paint stripper and brass wire wheels in the dremel. Each wheel has some spots i missed that showed up when primered so i just hit them with the brass wire wheel.
when the konis showed up it just motivated me a little more to finish the stripping and painting!

Should have let me know you were stripping them down -- Len over at Figure Finish has finally started hooking me up with some sort of discount. He can blast them for about $50 or so.

$50 for all the rimz? or each wheel?

Just an FYI....I have access to a bead blaster, with multiple types of beads. It can fit a 17 for sure, may be able to fit an 18. I know I am not close, but I can do them for FREE99.

My dad came down this saturday to hang out. we went to the reclaim store and picked up a oak door and banister pieces... and we made a desk! i had to teach my dad how to square from the middle
They are center pegged and then offset screwed after the leg was squared. i need to stain the dowels used to peg and cap the screw holes still.

oh and a little status update on the hops... i've got about 3 feet of vine on the hops and i'm WAY ahead of the local brewery/hops grower.

Gonna put glass on top of the door face to make it flat?

eventually it will have glass on it. there is a lot of flat space on it, the lap tops fit well... and since its stained wood we have to use coasters for drinks anyway.
the door isnt perfectly sqaure becasue they had to trim the door to fit the floor in the old house it came out of. so getting a piece of glass to fit perfectly is going to be tough.
