No problem man! I get tired of Jeepforum now days. I still hang out there a lot, but it seems the newbs have completely taken over. No tech in the tech section at all! I post some, and it gets little response. :dunno:

Yea I get nothing.. Nobody wants to see a boring DD on 3" and 31's.. I just surf and drool.. Thinking *one day...one day*..We need to coordinate a spring run.. Seeing as we've been talking about it since what? LAST YEAR...

Are you still debating a 3-link? What are your plans for up front now?

Yeah man, let's do some wheeling! Hit me up on Facebook or here or JF, I don't mind the GWNF thing every now and again.

I think I kicked the 3 link idea to the curb. At my height and with my current springs, I can unseat a coil on my current short arms. With a 3 link, the only thing I'd really gain is a flatter control arm angle (not that mine is bad) and it would bind less. So from here on out, my plan is to just get a full set of Rokmen control arms w/ JJ's on every end.

Actually, what would a set of nutstrips for like a factory hitch run me? Big Grin I got some from JCR, but honestly, the fitment wasn't great. I may cut the nuts out and weld new ones in, but sometimes I'm lazy lol.

I mean the thing is 30 yrs old.....how much more "Tech" is there to be discovered

 Good point! I'd just like to see more "modified" tech. Not "what size tire can I run with a budget boost" or "How do I make angry eyes"

Really amazing what the search button can do.

I'm down to hit crozet if it's possible. I can't vouch for Reds or blacks on this set up but I'll happily run trails all day.

Awesome man! There is open wheeling March 23rd. I'll be there. Are you open/open? I've helped my buddy with his TJ on 33's open/open get through some tough stuff there. I can't remember, do you have sliders? If not, you want them for Crozet. XJ rockers don't last long in the rocks.

Yes. Open/Open. And nope. No sliders. But I don't mind banging it up.

It was, very much so. Did some work yesterday. Made new lower shock mounts. Mounted the 10" 5100's up front. I now fully use all of the shock. I left a little sliver of shock shaft at full bump for over compression and jumps. I got at least 2" more down travel now. ALSO, got a good deal on some 12" 5100's from a member on Jeepforum to use on the back. They should be here by the end of the week I'd hope. Okay, I'll shut up and show you the porn Big Grin

Had a lot of fun wheeling at Crozet yesterday. Destroyed my header panel and I'm fairly sure I need a u-joint somewhere.

Played on the RTI ramp

Are Toyota's good platforms for off roading? I have owned three Yota trucks and they were all some of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Most just got work duty, but my first 94 pickup I took through a few creeks and over some jumps / woops at a dirtbike course Haha. I couldn't kill that truck if I tried.

They are good trucks, but anything after 85-86? (I think) is IFS. So, a solid axle swap would be in your future if you wanted more lift/clearance/better performance for slow crawling.
