Good stuff Matt. I'll take time to read it again and reply more thoroughly tomorrow. One thing I will say is that many alumni have, in recent years, donated money for various things and given a bit extra (to the tune of $20-60) to be considered as "dues." It's been much appreciated and I'm sure that will keep up. If the club needs donations, email us and ask. We can make it happen.

Moar t-shirts are always good!

I figured many of them did

Is the MM thing possible, I don't know much about running the forums but think it would be cool too include the MM under the names of contributing alum and memeber as a sort of thanks for support, I know its not much but it also doesn't use up the funds so we can do more fun stuff as a group

The widow maker was invented at a summer MM BBQ... It just so happens to calm kids down when they come off track!

Non car activities aren't all bad! Wink

Ariel Atom is happening, I'm really excited for it any suggestions on what time of the year to do it?

As far as kids being stupid with motor vehicles I'm thinking of not giving out stickers (making people earn them). So you have to do some kind of club activity or a cruise without being stupid to associate yourself with our club.

TOTD is do-able but it would be a select group of folk.

We're gonna push auto-xs and hyperdrives as much as we can because I see them as the core of our club. If we could expand on this by having people work on crew I'd be stoked. Also, the college auto-x is our chance to show off what our club has accomplished and should be an important date.

Also, I'm Sooooo down for a camping trip once it cools down a little bit. Crab tree falls is always fun (are there any driving trails near it?)

Keep the ideas coming

Ehhhhhhh..... Whats the incentive for people to pay dues up front if they have to "earn" the sticker..What about shirts? Do they have to earn a shirt too? Not saying it's a bad idea but it's a good way to shun people away.. But then again crazy shit works... :dunno:

EDIT: Personally, I think it's more of an incentive to receive your sticker and "earn" the right to keep it on your car.. I have no problem with running late night black ops ripping a sticker of some jerkoff's car cause of dumb shit..

Crabtree falls is an exceptional place to hike in the fall with a large spacious camping site just down the road(small fee).. it's doable but the rules to remember is respect your neighbors.. There will be other people camping and I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate "rowdy" college kids at 12am.. Now by "driving trails" do you mean roads or 4x4 trails? I'm going to assume you mean ohv roads.. Looks to be a place nearby called Shoe creek..

Looks pretty awesome and I'd be down..

I dunno those trails look easy enough that my "beauty" truck could make it through there.

Personally i think the best way to do this is for formalize the whole reprimanding process, i.e. keep a log.

For example, just keep a log where xyz person was spoke to for blah blah reason on whatever date it is. Keep a list and maybe state in the club rules how many times you are allowed to be spoken to before it results in revoking your member status (no refunds). Therefore when someone is revoked you keep it in your log and god forbid something happens and the school goes WTF? We can come back and say that although they have sticker they were revoked on such and such a date for whatever reason.

I like this idea. I think trying to take stickers off people's cars or whatever is kind of asking for trouble. I can imagine there would be people pissed off if you de-stickered their car, who may in turn decide to vandalize other MM cars.

At any rate, documenting when someone drives like an ass and ultimately gets kicked out of the club would be a good way to protect the club. It would make it clear the club doesn't condone that sort of behavior when the powers that be come a knocking.

^ Yea I guess that's a more "fair" and "nice" way of doing it... I'd support this notion

Yeah keeping a log of it is a great idea, really helps us cover our own ass and I don't see how JMU could get mad at us if we have stuff documented. I'll be starting this, this year and bring it up at the first meeting. I still want to make people come out at least to one event to get a sticker, it kinda builds up a sense of want for the sticker and the MM name on your car.
