Hey guys! My name is Emily and I'm a senior at JMU...I'm pretty new to this whole car thing, but I'm obsessed with BMWs Smile I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe and it's pretty fun, slow around the corners though...I look forward to spending some time with other car nuts and learning more about them!

Haha for some reason they are very attractive to me. In my dreams, I would keep my car because its practical, and get like a '98 M3, either light or dark blue of course. just because theyre really pretty. and go kinda fast Smile

Actually BMWs are slow.

That's DJ, he's old and crusty and horny, and compared to his 4,000,000whp Eclipse, everything is slow. We love him anyway though.

E36 M3s are a steal right now, which is probably why so many of us in the club have them now, you can pick up a rock solid relatively low mileage example for like $8k. If you're actually thinking about buying one let me know, I'll go with you and help you check one out through the battle-torn eyes of someone that bought a relatively rough one.

Well, I have never actually ridden in one, but that is exactly what I would want! So maybe the first step is taking a ride in one...then we'll see Smile

Alright, that's awesome Smile Because I'd really like to learn. And thanks, I try to come to as much as I can, but most of my weekends have conflicting stuff that just pops up. But this Friday and Saturday I will be at VIR and I'm so excited!

Awesome! Find me some time on Saturday and we'll get you a ride in an instructor car. Workers are getting them on Sunday but if you're just hanging out then Saturday won't be a problem :-)

Awesome. Probably a dumb question, but the grid is the covered thing up by the showers on the side of the paddock?

no grid is where the cars line up before going out on track Smile
