Hey my name is Lincoln Jones, i am currently a freshman at JMU, majoring in Justice Studies. I drive a 2001 Audi S4 (2.7 twin turbo) current mods are...ABD racing Quickflow system with an ABD Big Bore intake. Corbeau CR-1 Racing seats (five point harnesses coming), JHM motorsports Solid short throw shifter, JHM boost gauge, JHM Boost control, AWE Twin 1 exhaust (not installed yet, along with Vast 3" catless downpipes), 7" touch screen deck with a single 10" sub in the back for some good music....Upcoming mods include: GIAC performance chip, Forge Diverter valves, i have Eibach pro sport lowering springs but waiting to install them with Eibach pro dampers and sways, JHM FMIC, all working towards the full stage III swap which would be completed after a KO4 turbo swap and Vast stage III clutch....I have huge plans for this car and hopefully i'll be able to swing it down next year for some of these auto-crosses....As you can see i love cars and i love JMU...and Madison Motorsports brings the two together (obviously) and thats more than i could ask for. Im really looking forward to being a part of this family.

we haven't had an audi in the club for a while. yours looks really nice. i'm partial to nogaro myself, but silver fits great. are you a good mechanic? depending on how many miles are on it, you will be :lol: jk, we'll help you if things go south. if you are going stage 3 why not just hold off on the chip until the K04s are in? it's going to cook your K03s which you might be able to sell or keep as spares.

i used to have a '99.5 A4 Quattro 1.8T, manual sport package, no option (except a built-in phone which was hilariously old school even in 99). GIAC 1-bar chip, ECS A8 front rotor upgrade, Isspro vent boost gauge, FK sports grille, some other minor things here and there. fun, and i had big plans too (spent too much time on 034 Racing's site), but it was too much work to keep healthy.


my family still loves audis, and have an 09 TT and an '01 A4 1.8T 5 spd. the A4 will probably only be around a few more years. i still have dreams of some day owning either a B5 S4 or a URS4.

well im not sure how long it is going to take for me to make the $5100 needed for the KO4 upgrade, so i figured i would do just that, burn out the KO3's and do the swap when they're gone....I don't want to say im a good mechanic, but i fix things as they break and i know my way around a car fairly well....i picked the car up for $4000 because it was popping engine codes and the previous owner got quoted for $3000 worth of repairs (codes were for -O2 sensors, catalytic converters, and a MAF). I started in the front by doing the MAF sensor and replaced a faulty throttle body boot, and it wiped the codes clean...Lucky right? listen to this..i bought the car with 109k on it, about 10k miles before i bought it she had fixed - alternator, Timing belt, and Aux. water pump....i added their repair records up for those items and it totaled over $3000....thats why it pays to know your shit about cars haha

yeah if you're going to kill the K03s go for it, i just wasn't sure what you plan was. $4000 is a dirty steal, i wish i had started out with an S instead of my A. that's awesome all the big jobs were done too, like the t-belt and such. 109k is nothing on that drivetrain. when you throw on the springs you might want to look at the control arms too (you probably know that by the sound of things) at that age. mine were shot by 90k.

enjoy and give us a video when you get the exhaust on, i love the way the 2.7TT's sound. oh, and if/when you change the fuel filter lemme know. that was one of the last jobs i did on the A4 and it was a tough one (i'm no mechanic myself).

well its not just turbos that i need to go stage III.
