wow almost 20 alone in registration for Madison Motorsports. Pretty impressive. Does anyone have a portable grill? Some good ole hotdogs and hamburgers would be nice for all the people instead of us all going to a restaurant.

Current: 1985 LS1 Corvette | 2014 328i Wagon F31

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...

Its too bad we won't be around, but what a great turnout you all are going to have. I'm really excited to see the club showing up at an event like this.

We're back (and I'm exhausted) - and I had another friggin' awesome day. Madison Motorsports had 18 people - including Dr. Thomas - drive today! VERY pleased with the turnout of students and alumni... there were several newbies who all did a fantastic job of staying on course, not plowing (too many) cones, etc.

I let Chris, one of our new guys, co-drive the Miata... and we both gave it everything we had. After all was said and done, he beat me (in my own car) by 0.084 seconds... so a re-match is necessary there Big Grin

Dave brought his 525i out... his response to how it performed on track? "......plush."

Cabell and Evan both brought out their Passats for some 1st-time AX action. They can tell their own stories, but the highlight of my day was standing at my worker station and seeing a white Passat wagon go by, with 5 MMers inside

So... new guys, how was it?! Big thanks to Ray Schumin and the BRR-SCCA crew for putting on another great event as always. Much as I thought the season was winding down... I'm also wondering if we can fit one more event in, somehow. We'll see.

Okay, here is the first batch of pictures. Thanks to Dave Lingenfelter for taking pictures while I was driving. Mick should have more soon.

Thanks MM for the support. We do have one more event this year at the Salem Civic Center on November 1. It is a great lot and less than a 2 hour drive down 81 from JMU

Awesome, awesome day! What a great turnout for MM! David and I were actually talking to a guy from CCVT during our work session it came up how many members we had out there- he was blown away that we had that many people there! I think that says a lot about the club, the alumni and the effort of the officers! Well done!

That being said- had a blast thrashing the WRX yet again, and it was fun to have a co-driver this time! Good to beat Flint, but also great to have some times out ahead to shoot for (Tyson, as usual and Kyle). And thanks for the ridiculous ride along Kyle- and 16G lust...

Some pictures--

What an absolute blast today!!! Very happy and proud to attend my very first Auto Cross event!! I think this weekend was an absolute success! Perfect weather for a MM wrench day and cruise on Saturday, and plenty of current member and alumni to come out and represent the club for the auto x in Verona! A great event btw for newer members to get to know some of the alumni as well as see some familiar faces.I hope everyone had a great time, because I certainly know I did! Like many of you the highlight of my day was shuttling 4 other MM members around in the Grocery Getter!!

Signing out
