Project 1997 ITR #280
Been a long time coming on this one. At least it is coming together. Looks like a new car.

I might have some 949racing lugs at my parents house that you can have for a 6 pack of good beer if I can find all 16 of em.

...that'd work too. I'm just trying to get rid of my spline-drive lugs. Much easier to install/remove with an impact if you can slide an impact socket right on, versus using the little adapter.

Just grab some steel conical lug nuts from vatozone, napa, etc. I switched to those because I've always been kind of sketched out about loosening the bling blang lugnuts with an impact and stripping them.

Not bad either. I know I am probably stupid, but I am sketched out by aluminum lightweight lugs nowadays. After realizing how much heat is in my wheels/brakes/fatigue/stress, I just don't think they are a good idea for a track car. I have had cracking issues with my Forgeline Aluminum wheels, and cast DForce LTW wheels. I just imagine a very HOT aluminum lug nut with the 1.46-1.54 average Gs being put through them being bad.

Cheap steel ones should work in your situation and save you some money

I run stupid expensive lug studs and steel nuts since I had problems breaking studs.

Welp -- it's getting close I think, but I'm sure something will come up that I forgot.

Waited a bit for this to show up..after looking over my harness I decided to plead with the WireWorx folk to make me a stock routed harness. All new plugs and wire.

The valve cover I stripped was really starting to bother me, and I finally ordered the gasket kit so I splurged a bit.

And where we are at today -- engine harness ran, need to run some coolant lines for the IACV, go steal the battery from the Civic and pray this hooptie doesn't burn to the ground.

Maybe I'll let you drive the hatch pile before you depart for the west coast. Hydraulic stuff is cake, I'm just hoping the car doesn't burn down from all the wiring that has been changed up.

Thanks man -- I think you'd be appalled at the exterior condition as its been sitting for quite awhile, and my greasy hand prints are all over it. If you are back in the area when this POS is done, I'll be hitting you up for a detail.

Well, it runs. Sort of, kind of. Fuck it - car goes back to the bodyshop to get all the panels buffed that got painted and aligned.

Progress I guess?

Stole this picture from my body shop's FB page... I would be picking it up today, but instead of heading to Atlantic City to win some money to finish this hooptie up.
