Good idea, Goodspeed. If you guys do go that route, have people prepay for dyno slots. That way if they back out and don't show the club doesn't get hit.

Hmmm. I like this idea of pre paying for dyno so we can get it there and hopefully bring out more people. And if there is time we can add randoms that never prepaid but wanted to get on it.

At $75 for 3 runs, which isn't unusual (most are $50) but if we could get $75 it would help. Would require 14 people to break even, during 5 hours, thats 21 minutes every car. I just don't see it logistically working.

The time we did it before, wasn't that done at a separate location? I can't quite remember what that event was that I dyno'd the SS

Garrett, if you're going to meet with him, see if he's flexible at all on the $1k. I mean, the first rule of economics is that you can either have some money or no money...and it's not like Elkton is a 400 mile tow away from campus. I've been to the big classic/hot rod show off Port at the Church of the Nazarene when he brought the dyno and got like 4 cars, so maybe he's persuadable.

You're probably thinking of Dryft Motorsports, which is no longer. We had the '06 and '07 shows there with the shop dyno, '09 was in the C4 lot with this mobile dyno.

I talked with him on the phone and he said it had changed that he doesn't tow it anywhere without it being insured. He used to not have people have it insured but that's something that changed. I'll try to call him tonight about seeing if he is flexible on eating some cost or something else since it is a charity event.

In the past we've always had people just show up and register on the spot. We had a tent set up where people can make their donations, get a little card to fill out for their car's year/make/model and mods, and pick up their raffle tickets.

We used to have preregistration on the website. It was only utilized by members and alumni.

Yeah, I went through the trouble of creating a web pre-reg process when I was a student, and it was awesome, and nobody used it.

We could always offer to let people pre-register via paypal? Just have people paypal you and include their name/car info and then someone needs to have them on the list already. Could save a few minutes when people get there. That way if someone bails last minute we already have their money, and its really no work for the officers short of putting people on the registration list in advance.

Make sure you guys have that square reader at registration. Or PayPal has theirs available if the square reader is gone. I feel like donations may be higher if you have the ability to accept debit/credit.
