I guess some recap as I always forget to post in here.
Having Stephen buy this for his Stang and whipping it out, heh, during an impromptu parking deck meet.
Fully rebuilding a 356 engine thanks to MAAP with Erik, Jackson, Stephen, and Plaugs.
Finding this lot of old 40’s American cars with David and meeting their owner, going on a cruise with him and the Antique Car Club of America, and meeting Bruce A Elder and touring his shop in Staunton.
The Fall Fling at MAAP with lots of students co-mingling with old presidents of JMU, auction heads at RM, owners of Porsche dealerships, and many other great connections.
Installing the shortest of short shifters on Ian’s car in Alex’s new shop. May or may not have broken Alex’s U-Joints in the process.
Watching the installation of the IMS bearing in former JMU President Dr. Rose’s 997 at MAAP.
Off-Roading with Jake, Kevin, Taylor, Adam, Scott, Nate, Ryan, and Joe. Also blowing out two tires in the process thanks to encouraging some “send-it” moments when they probably weren’t the best idea.
Picking up the Boxster with Scott in WV during a snow storm on summer tires, almost dying in the process thanks to the grip of my tires, and making the journey back on equally bad summer tires but this time RWD.
One of the biggest non-Car Show cruises we had this year.
Going to the Motorcycle Show in DC with Adam, Sahm, and Chris.
Going to Amelia Island for the RM Sotherby’s Auction with Cole from MAAP as a sponsored student trip with David and Plaugs. (See separate write-up for details and full photo gallery)
Having an awesome turnout of students for NASA’s first event at VIR this season.
Most recently a nice cruise up 33 where I almost re-created Shea’s fate of snap oversteer in mid-engine cars.
