i'm helping build/rebuild the skills course at Manassas Jeep. i'll be with the NOVA Jeepers making sure nothing breaks. its been on my calendar for months now.

We are out, Rex works that weekend. Unfortunately, for most of the alumni, our weekends get filled pretty quickly, so we are unable to make plans like these a week and a half out. Perhaps if you planned ahead, we'd be able to put something together.

I was originally shooting for the 5th but you all had prior commitments so I wanted to try for the 22nd and present more options to see if that works better for alumni. This is a new idea for the club so it has to fit around our big events and current members aren't interested in camping later in November/ December. We'll do this regardless to run it through as a first time thing and hopefully we can build on something in the Spring that is possible to plan out with a lot more notice.

It's only a one night thing only an hour drive away so it's very feasible for us to do as a club.

Understood, but Julie makes a good point. Us alums like to be (and want to be) involved and attending stuff, but don't be surprised if we can't make these short-notice events. Hell, my October has been planned out for a while now. I understand that college schedules are more open and friendly to random stuff (I was uh, just there) but this is something where if you wanted alums to attend on say, the 22nd, you should have had a date picked in early September after looking at NASA/BRR stuff.

Let me rephrase this... This is one of those, let's go type events. If you can make it, awesome! If not, see you in the spring where there will be plenty of notice and we can get a large crowd to attend. I'm simply offering an event on a down weekend for who ever is game, I know we'll have fun.

Jake- Yeah I understand that, this is just a spur of the moment thing. The idea has been tossed around but no solid plans were ever made so now we're looking to solidify everything. Looking forward to the spring too, should be fun

Looks like my heep will be out of commission for a few weeks- power steering gear box is shot and i'm not about to have it shit out on me midway through a trail run. Sad

Lets do another event in the spring!

I just had an event I have to work moved on me from Friday to Saturday so looks like I'm not good either... We'll have a grand 4x4 adventure in the Spring which will be well worth the wait.
