"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

I'm gonna write to all the old guys in the SCCA and protest these topaz wheel studs. Not sure if they were a port-installed accessory or aftermarket modification and clearly there is a performance advantage.

We're just trying to have fun with our cars here.  All the kids have topaz these days, they're cheap and really help out.  Why you gotta be a grouch?

Who let me get near bodywork?

Ordered a couple small things and they are trickling in.
BMW makes an OEM and legal CF rear spoiler to replace the painted smaller stock one as you can see here.

A heat gun and some time and the old one was off.
Bit of test fitting before I made it permanent. BMWs betalink apparently does not come off well...

Now on and have to wait 5 hours to drive so I used some tape to keep it secure and letting it dry overnight. [Image: 89ac29bb524998151d00469171e1b96f.jpg]

Bimmerworld Exhaust update: it sounds great outside the car but above 4k rpm the Exhaust goes silent. It’s very odd, since it’s just loud enough for me between 1500-4K but where is my 8k Exhaust note?!?!?

Since I am limited on options staying in stock class (axle back only); I had my friend come over with his “ACM” Exhaust mod. Zero drone but is actually much louder than the BW race Exhaust above 4K. Bonus: Completely quiet at cruising speeds.

So I picked up an OEM Exhaust and going to cut open and weld it up to do the ACM mod. Then I will build a straight pipe section to replace the muffler with a quick disconnect for when I do national level autocrosses 4x a year.

Also changing up tips to just slightly larger and my inner ricer is begging me to do the burnt tips when I got sent options for the Cyba tips.

Tips came in for the exhaust. The E92 tips are longer than th eE90 tips which is one of the reasons I needed to change them up.

For those that don't know, here is an example between stock and the "ACM" style exhaust mod.
