I dunno, from some angles the G70 looks good to me. Will have to see one in person.
Current C-Class definitely looks better than G20 3 series though.

To be fair, modern pedestrian impact laws really restrict what you can do with a front end.
But Im pretty sure we are in an arms race to see who can make a bigger grill
No modern cars look good to me. They all look the same and will not stand the test of time.

Carmax put together some interesting infographics on manual transmission sales by year and by state. Nothing we didn't know, but interesting to see it laid out.

Not sure how much stock I would put in that data. In my FR-S/BRZ search I have gotten a pretty good feel for the spread of AT vs MT cars in the market as a whole, and its very clear to me that CarMax stocks MT cars at a rate much lower than the larger market.
So if they send most MT cars they get on trade straight to auction, of course they wont sell as many. (And thats even before you get to the sampling bias of MT drivers less likely to use CarMax)
Thats not to say the end conclusion isnt the same, but personally I doubt the numbers are that dire.
Yeah I'd agree with that.
Most enthusiasts (the ones buying manuals) know better than to buy from Carmax. Not that there's anything wrong with them. They are just way overpriced almost always.

I agree with y'all, but I mean, automatics got good. It was like the same shitty 4 speed in all cars up until a decade or so ago and then bam they're great.

i'd also be willing to bet that Carmax's in the deep south have an enormous majority of their inventory as pickup trucks and SUVs. you can't get them any way except an auto. so....of course their stats are going to reflect that.
most of the dealerships here in my town don't even stock sedans on the lots anymore...its just trucks and one sports car in the showroom for halo points.

The new Atom got the boosted Civic Type-R engine and it looks super fast. How do they get away with no roll cage or bar of any kind on these though? I never really noticed it until this guy drove it, but his head is sticking up pretty high.

I don't think there are any regulations regarding rollover? The only difference between it and many convertibles is a flimsy windshield that isn't gonna protect you on rollover.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
The Atom is so limited in production there can't be any regulations regarding those things.

The rollbar is now integrated into the intake.
From the articles I've seen it looks like the Atom4 is actually cheaper? I dunno if the $54k is just before you get options but if that's the price that's a damned good deal. I wonder how much the uprated versions will be.
Also kinda curious about how much improvement in aero there is. Top speed is way up, but I wonder if they've added enough downforce to be noticeable.

Man I love Atoms. Definitely up in a top spot of my dream garage. I gotta say, this latest iteration looks incredible, but I might just go for an older supercharged model. The scream right next to JC's ear in that iconic TG video is just wild.

It's crazy to see how much wider the tires are now with this new variant than the older ones
