The PS4 isn't out until next year in 18" sizes. They're only going to release 19's and 20's next month.

I'll probably end up with the Contis.

Finally got around to getting the coilovers (mostly) finished up last night. I ran into a few issues setting the height properly since I had never worked with an adjustable height coilover setup. I took the rear drivers side suspension apart 3 times trying to figure out what was causing it to be an inch higher than the other side before someone told me to hop up and down in the trunk to make sure the shock wasn't sticking. Turns out that's exactly what the problem was. Wasted a couple hours trying to figure that out, but oh well, lesson learned. I still need to fix the drivers side rear corner because it's now too low since I was compensating for that one being higher before, but otherwise it's done.

I took it for a short cruise up mt clinton pike last night to get some initial impressions and let the other shocks settle out where they should be. As is expected the car now feels much more planted around corners. What wasn't expected was how much nicer the ride is on this suspension even with the car being lowered a good bit (roughly 13.0" f / 12.5"r). I'm sure the stock suspension was quite old, but even so I wasn't expecting a huge improvement in ride quality. Overall, very happy with the coilovers so far.

My wheels are supposed to ship on the 31st of this month by the latest, so it's questionable if I'll have them in time for the car show/autocross. If so I plan on making it out to that for my first autocross. If not, I'll just wait for a later one in the season since my rear all seasons are pretty much bald at this point.

Stock height, according to the forums is ~14.5" front / ~14.25" rear.

So roughly 1.5"

I'm pretty happy with the height at the moment, but I'll finalize it once I get the wheels and tires so I can make sure it doesn't rub with the higher offset wheels. I don't scrape on my driveway at the moment, so that's the important part.

I've had it happen on both suspensions on the 3 so I thought it would work since you didn't have separate rebound or pre-load. Doesn't always happen. The dampers sometimes need a little persuasion when they are so new when fluids haven't really been moved around in them awhile.

Looks great. Not too low and not too high. E46's look so good with just a little low and wheels so can't wait to see it with them Apex's on

Typically is not the actual shocks, but the binding of compliant (think rubber) parts in the suspension that load up.

Bushings?

What rubber parts are in dampers besides bushings that mount them?

Bushings that run in the articulation of the suspension, not just the shocks.

Interesting, did not know those would bind like that

Yeah, looks great! I just ran out and checked and I'm at about the same ride height. IMO, it's really as low as you'll want to go - there's not a whole lot of suspension travel even at that height.

New wheels and tires for those that didn't see it at the car show. I'm still messing with the ride height a little.

Really happy with the choice of hyper black to go with my paint color. Hyper silver was just a little too bright for my tastes.

Wheels are 18x9et30 and 18x9.5et22
