MM Spring '14 Car Show - APRIL 5th

Once again this will be another year I can't make it :-(. I'm not going to post up excuses b/c everyone's got em. Hope everything turns out well. I'm going to post up on a couple forums to spread the word. DJ - that drag car is perfect for you! You don't have a roof suffocating your ego-bloated head ;-P. Have fun guys!

If you plan on coming, you have to make sure you're on the "going" list. Not trying to burn bridges at work.

Are there any post-show plans yet? I know in years past we've done cruises, dinners, parties, etc. and it seems pretty quiet so far. A lot of us are spending Saturday night in town, so it'd be nice to do something.

Macrock is that weekend so there will be tons of bands playing downtown. Haven't been in a few years so I think I'm planning on going to that after the car show.

Weathers looking great for the day of the show so far. Partly cloudy at 67 with a 10% chance of rain. :thumbup:

Yeah, I'm trying to decide what I'm doing. If MM is doing something, I want to do it, but the truck guys coming to the show want to wheel after too...

Timing not so great on the pre-show dinner, IMO, if you wanted to attract a mix of students/alum. I'm thinking alums will end up going out for dinner post-show regardless... just for the sake of not eating Costco burger patties. But a house party/thing sounds like a good time.

As of now the plan is Quaker after the show then head down town to the bars. Unless we can grab a house for a house party!

Yeah, quite a few, including me, but that's fine, I can find other things to do.

If they go to the bars included in the Macrock event, I think they are all 18 and up for the time that event is happening. That requires buying a ticket though. I think it's like 15 bucks.

There's no such thing as a bar in this state so it's not like they couldn't go. They just couldn't drink. But I guess a house would be better if one was found. I'm just commenting but I doubt I'll be involved in any post show shenanigans.

Edit: Going downtown the night of a big event will make parking.... Interesting I guess.

Going to that event would also be pretty pointless if you can't drink, at least I would think.
