No. It's not. I just think it's a stupid commercial and a stupid reason to try and convince someone that its the most superior car. I'm just not a VW fan. And I think their interiors are pretty boring and dated (which I know is why a lot of people like them)

There's a bunch of Audi's I like the look of but they have some pretty questionable build choices over the years (like plastic parts in places there shouldn't be like most German stuff).

I just remember working the body shop and the Volkswagens were always the biggest pain in the ass to do anything on. I just don't like the brand.

But I may have found something I might be interested in. Will post if anything comes of it

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

FWIW Mazda does have a 0% financing deal going on right now as well. Toni and I are picking up a CX5 Touring today, we wound up leasing because the incentives were too good to pass up and the MF worked out to 2.4% - also, we barely will touch 10K a year.

Nah - didn't really care for the fancy lights and the "I forgot to brake" system. We did do the Bose and moonroof because Toni really wanted to have a moonroof and, even though it's mostly just name, I wasn't going to pass on an upgraded sound system.

Hmm unless they changed the package the tech had the LED lights and blind spot monitoring. The braking system was another package.

You should have gotten the LED lighting...jus sayin'

Must have changed for 2016.5 (not full 2017)

Tech package was just LED lights, adaptive leveling, "city brake", auto dimming mirror and rain sensing wipers.

Blind spot is now standard on the touring, so that was already included.

Just didn't see the justification in 1.3K for shinier lights and don't be an idiot braking.

Oh yeah. That's right. We had a 2016.5 as well. I must have disabled city brake as I don't remember ever having that occur.

Tech package and then I-active sense package

tech = Led, adaptive lights, smart city ( under 25mph brake assist) = $1200
i-active = radar cruise, lane assist, highway speed brake assist = $1500

funny thing, I experienced the Smart City assist yesterday. pulling into the garage, wheels cut toward the Prius to straighten up, riding the brake. Picked up the wheel angle and saw the Prius, it applied the brakes and bells rang everywhere.

Pretty sure it's just acting like any normal person would when getting near a Prius.
