Cody's crew 5k- September 26

So, Rex's company is heavily involved with this organization because Mickey Johnson, a coworker of Rex's lost his son to Neuroblastoma I think about 2 years ago now. Mickey and some friends started Cody's crew, its a non profit to raise money and awareness for Neuroblastoma a childhood cancer.

We did this last year, well, we walked it, cause we were fat and couldnt' run it. Well this year we are less fat and are going to try to run the most of it. We'd love to have some people show up and do this with us. Its for a good cause, and anybody who wants to stay with us are more than welcome to do so.

This is on a sunday morning this year, in case you don't know how to use a calendar.

Likely out of town (visiting my niece w/ neuroblastoma), but if that falls through, I'm there.

Cancer in kids is such shit. My niece was born with it, and Caitlin's niece (still kinda mine) was diagnosed with leukemia last year. No kid should have to go through it... Sadly, neuroblastoma is so uncommon it has so little awareness. Big thumbs up to Cody's Crew.

Looks like we will be there. We'll try to figure something out a way that we have the kids with us for the 5K and they can still do the Tot Trot or Miler.

Well, that was a lot of fun, and every last one of you in the NoVA area should be ashamed for not going. Started off a little cold and rainy, but once I started running I didn't notice the rain until it was gone. Ran a whole 5k, which is pretty good for a guy who, 5 years ago, didn't run unless he was being chased.
